1. So tempted to take a run at this. Who wants what?
2. Bad Monkey sounds like a good bet to me - dirt cheap, and it's a tubescreamer on the inside. Or the BOSS SD-1. That's a tubescreamer too. Or the Ibanez TS7- they're pretty cheap. But really, just go to a shop and try a few. Or buy whatever comes up here really cheap, and if you don't like it, sell it on.
3. SOLD!
4. I have to second the importance of all the bits and pieces people need quickly. I use music shops like garage forecourt shops - they're for things I need NOW! So somewhere local that sells, straps, strings, allen keys, machineheads etc would be great. Also things where it isn't worth paying for delivery - pots, switches, knobs, nuts and so on. Oh, and Behringer pedals, where the prices are so low it's not worth paying delivery or waiting. Big ticket stuff I buy online (usually second-hand).
5. Last bump before I decide that I love this after all and convert it to passive...
6. I wonder if a price-cut would help... Now £60 Picked-up. £80 posted.
7. Still here, guys and gals. Make me a trade offer. Go on!
8. Scale length is definitely 30" EDIT: Reply to disappearing bit of HarryPotter's post removed!
9. Bump. Anyone?
10. It was some dreadful cobbled-together thing when I played there a year and half ago. But then that matched the rest of the Water Rats experience perfectly. I am not a fan of either playing there or going as a fan.
11. Probably best I don't ship to the US. It'll cost a fortune!
12. I just sold this lovely chap a tubescreamer. It was a pleasant process from start to finish. I recommend him highly.
13.
Spare pedals to go. Tech 21 bass Compator in box, £35 posted Russian Bassballs, in black, in the wooden box, £35 posted Proco Juggernaut £45 posted.
PMed, dear boy.
14.
Dangerboy on here had an SD bridge unit I nearly bought from him (for a good price, if I remember) for my Matsumoku restoration, but I managed to snag a cheap but ruined 4001 copy for the parts, so ended up not going for it. He might still have it available. Probably an idea to stick a post in the "Items Wanted" board, someone might have something.
Seymour Duncan replacement for 4003 bridge pickup still available for 35 quid shipped! Quick, before I find a bass to put it in! I have Kent Armstrong toasters in my custom hollowbody bass - they sound really crisp. Lovely pickups.
15. Someone give rjb a job!
16. All gone to phsycoandy! Sorry mat.
17.
I do like that. Haven't touched a short scale since I started playing, several centuries ago. How does it play?
I like the idea of you starting out on a shortscale bass lute in the 1600s... It plays really nicely. The neck is skinny and smooth, so my hands just flow over it. The action is on the high side of middle at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it could be brought down. The sound is pure and warm.
18. As the title says, really. A ply jazz bass body, finished in sunburst, and a neck that fits. Kind of. With a whopping shim. There's no nut, and I had to rebuild the nut area with a piece of walnut. It's ugly, but it works. No hardware, apart from a neckplate and screws. Yours for the cost of postage plus a bit of bubble wrap. Or pick up in London for nowt. Maybe someone can rescue something usable from this? It was once a serviceable jazz bass.
19. A bump to see if anyone is feeling the mediterranean love. All offers, trades etc considered. No matter how crazy!
20. This poor bass needs a new home. Won't you be its knight in shining armour?

SOLD

PRICE CUT! Read down. ============================================== Continuing the procession out of my flat... A short-scale Eko bass from Italy, model B.02, with a beautiful maple/mahogany/maple neck. The scale length appears to be 30", although I can't find my tape measure to confirm this exactly. This page will tell you all you need to know, in two languages! http://www.fetishguitars.com/html/eko/catalogues/83/15.html This bass is in nice condition generally - there have been a few dings to the finish, each of which has become white, and looks like a place where a small stone hit a windscreen. I've had to replace the pots, as the original volume pot operated as more of an "on-off switch". I kept the lovely old capacitor, though. I also put nice metal knobs on it rather than the horrid plastic ones. Other than that it's all original. The humbucker is HOT. It clips my guitar amp even with the gain on 3. My bass amp is fine with it, though. Lovely warm and slightly vintage sound to it. 80 if you meet me in London to collect it, 100 if I have to ship it. Sound OK? I have a gig bag for this but it's long-scale and a bit tatty. Should protect it, though.
22. Still here!
23. Oops. Link fixed.
24.
I'd love to have this, but I can't get down to London sadly.
Always happy to have a courier come pick it up! www.interparcel.co.uk ?
