1. A big thanks to Stuart. A good bloke to deal with, prompt delivery, excellent comms, well packaged Bass XCiter. Thanks again, Ross

 3.
oo I like the look of that!
Hmmm, not so sure. Should be interesting trying to find a hard-case for it (and a stand).
 4. Is this still available??
 5.
Hi, Thanks for the interest - how does £140 sound? Cheers, Doug
Sod it. Still a bit out of my price range. A bit short of funds - new front springs on the car have just cost me £330!!
 6.
Still got this.
Price for local collection??

 8.
Hi, I have a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V (around '99, I believe). The knobs are not standard: there are concentric knobs for the active Low and High frequency pots. The bottom one has lost its hex screw, which means that it's loose and not very precise. I don't need the full set of knobs, and it would feel very silly to get a whole set of knobs to get just the one tiny little hex screw. Does anyone know where I can get just the screws, or does anyone know the spec of the screw (what size hex hole, what thread and size for the outer part of the screw)? Cheers, - martin
Martin, If you can find the spec details I may be able to provide one - will depend upon what I have in my man-drawer stock of hex screws of course!! Ross

 11.
Thought I'd post this as it's a rare picture of me that I like! Tis from some pictures taken at a video shoot I did, the video I'll post when it's all rendered! Si
Shame the bass isn't plugged-in though
 12. That intense bass-player look.
 13. Bit of a d**k-head question, but does anyone know the on/off positions of the slap-switch on the Tanglewood (Cort) Curbow? I've tried both positions (oo-err) on mine, and twiddling the pre-sets on the rear does not seem to make any difference in EQ in either position - unless it is too subtle for my aged ears!! TIA, Ross
 14.
Thanks for the reply Bill, I understand your point now and a valid one it is too!!!! I was doing some research on Peavey products last night and couldn't find info on what actual driver was fitted to TNT 150 combos, the Blue Marlin was fitted in the TNT 115 and others (according to Peavey records) but no mention of the 150, it's a mystery. When I get it back, I'll have a look and see what is actually in it. But I'm pretty sure you'll tell me that a new Eminence driver will be far superior anyway. Cheers, Mick.
I replaced the speaker in my TNT115 with an Eminence 15" driver - the difference was stunning.
 15. Listening to the radio this morning with cans on and Candi Statton 'Nights on Broadway' came on. Very good bass line - any idea who the bassist is??

 18. Gerry, Thanks for the offer. No, I'm not in too much of a rush - I would like to nail this over the coming months. Ta, Ross
 19.
Off - yes, the Canyon, very nice. I didn't know Tanglewood made the synthetic version either.
Oh, yes. I have a black Tanglewood Curbow 5 (Luthite body/Ebanol fingerboard) sitting in my living-room right this minute. In fact...
 20. Can anyone forward or recommend a good transcription of Birdland.
 21.
Is this your first 5-string? Do you pick the G especially differently to the other strings (different angle of attack, different preferred finger maybe)?
No. I have played 5-ers before. Interestingly, I used the 1x15" last night instead of the 1x12" and it sounded better. So maybe its an amp thing?
 22. I've just finished housing my A-B switching box. I originally built this way back in 1984 from a project in Guitarist magazine - it uses a CMOS chip for click-free operation with LED's to show the active channel. 1984 to 2010 - you can tell I don't like to rush things!! Ross
 23.
I'd personally bring the pickup closer to the G string on the G side.
Surely this would just increase the volume of the G-string - the string sounds deadened/muted though.
 24. All the strings on my Curbow 5 sound full and resonant - except for the G-string, which sounds very weedy, no tone and bit 'quiet' compared to its siblings particularly the first five frets. The strings are 40-125 D'addarios which were replaced 2 months ago. It is a problem with the neck, pick-up, pre-amp, amplifier, speaker or what?? Pulling my (greying) hair out a bit so any advice would be most welcome. Thanks, Ross
