1.
My September offering. I took a moment's look at the image and solo cello came into my head. I put this together quite quickly using Arabic sounding scales but it really does it for me in terms of it relating to the image. More so than almost anything else I have done before. Simple but effective. https://soundcloud.c...r-1/syrian-sofa
Awesome.
 2. I've got a bassline for this one and a basic idea. I'm in.
 3. The guy in the armchair is thinking.......... "sh*t........, this sky hd is the business, but that's the last time I'm watching the hurt locker in 3D".
 4.
I am not a fan of this type of show but I guess if they HAVE to have shows like this, some kind of variety would be nice. Even then, C4 tried something with bands (Orange-sponsered If I recall) but I can't recall what it was called or who won. I know Jo Wileys annoying mug was on it, mind. And maybe Alex James off Blur.
Now that was awful....... It was all the same kids off X factor but presented to us in a slightly grunged up styleee..... Jo Whiley....... Grrrrrrrrrr😠 what an annoying and smug faced pain in the arse. Oh yeah I almost forgot about that lanky ponse from blur. What a fop.
 5.
I thought she had a lovely voice.
+1...... I cried a tear.
 6. Another excellent exchange with the fabulously cool Anth......,
 7. When is septembers picture up.
 8.
The worst series ever. Absolutely vomit inducing. Television of the worst kind.
You never have anything nice to say. You really are a miserable bar steward. I bet you don't even respond to this post..........
 9. What a load of old samey tripe. He repeatedly fails to strike the nail on the head, if he was a carpenter he'd be on the dole.
 10.
Actually this one makes me laugh. All that relicing and then "no fret wear".
I thought the same thing. Miraculously the frets escaped this natural wear process.........lol
 11.
Not really a bass thing, but one use of a looper that's always stuck in my mind was K T Tunstall's debut on Jools' show with 'Black Horse & The Cerry Tree' a few years ago. Pretty effective IMO. http://youtu.be/pdu_IWxSSk4
Wow, very good indeed.
 12. Mmmmmmm something doesn't add up here.
 13. Sorry I got here a bit late, however for future ref if its a plastic or bone nut. You can use the new string as a file. Work it back and forth until it slots in being careful not to affect the depth.
 14.
Cheers Nige! Those scrolling titles were crying out for the Star Wars treatment. I recorded about half a dozen tracks of me humming different parts of the John Williams theme, then mixed them together. Got the idea from a guy on YouTube who does it much better than me
Are you the only entry so far.
 15. Not for me......
 16. It's a bummer dude.... "I'm sorry it went down like this, And someone had to lose, It's the nature of the business, It's the smuggler's blues."
 17.
A bit if fun? Definitely. Frivolous? Perhaps. Pointless? Nah. I learnt some new stuff along the way - I always do - so I'm quids in on the worthwhile front
Sounds cool to me. Well done.
 18. Read the description. It's comical. I think he's a lawyer or some kind of prick.
 19.
I'm sure that there must be a module in the 'Customs Officer' course that covers what a guitar looks like with the neck removed when they open your suitcase although i could be wrong.
Ha ha I know what you are doing here... You are trying to eak out a little more info with each post. Bit by bit you bastards will slowly build a somewhat frankensteined picture. I'm not saying another word. Go with Dingus' plan and stick it up your arse for all I care. Jeez, you try to put a fellas mind at rest and................ My point is, it's only 1 in every 1000 suitcases that are physically checked.
 20.
Well, it's a moot point now, as Dingus already explained how you did it. So you're a customs officer, eh? Innersting ...
Bloody Dingus....... The tuners really hurt. Enough said. I'm not a customs officer. I would be in jail for a very long time if I worked in customs. Lol.
 21. Without encriminating myself here and I am in no way advising you to break any laws, however the split guitar in the suitcase will work 999 times out of 1000. Don't ask how I know this statistic but take it as good advice. If by chance you are that 1 person then pay your dues and better luck next time. Please don't ask me to elaborate by pm or otherwise.
 22.
Grumpy?
Absolutely.
 23.
Well, you chose to not ask a mod beforehand, and the question is really quite lame and unnecessary, so ...
Crikey.......
 24.
They are if they have certain substances on them.
Good point, if its secondhand please check thoroughly. If unsure about any found substances please send to me and I will conduct the necessary testing, ahem.
 25. The best hope is to split the neck and body and check it in with your luggage. The suitcase will be scanned but only checked retrospectively. There are also random checks but you would have to be really unlucky. Sniffer dogs aren't trained to find guitars lol. Travel Indurance should cover it incase the suitcase goes missing etc.
