1. You didn't give that much time. There are quite a few guys lookin for badass bridges in the wanted section.
2. Go for it. It's only a piece of wood and piece of metal it's not like you've suggested cuttin off some birds tits and putting them on a bloke to see what that would look like. I think it would be nice( the bridge not the tits on a bloke) so give it a try what's the worst that could happen?
3. Somebody beat me too it as well. It may look like I got it but I was too slow.
4. I'll take it.
5. These guys are getting worse at this. They used to turn out some tidy relic jobs but of late they are really getting carried away. It's as though they have become desensitised to what's enough. This guitar looks like it was found in tutan-kamuns hidden vault. Their work no longer corresponds with what's a realistic relic. About 18 mths ago I seriously bid on one of these guitars and followed it up to about £180 but had to call it a day as I couldn't justify it anymore. It was beautifully done and if I had the money I would probably have bid more, there is no way I would bid on any of these latest jobs. I'm a fan if relics I think done well with no intention to deceive they look awesome.
6. Have a 'not for me but it's gotta be worth £50 to somebody' bump. Very attractive bass mate.
7.
I'd be interested in the Gotoh bridge if anyone ends up buying the bass as standard.
still here and pmd.
8. I can't ask for fairer than that.
9. I'd be interested in the standard version, money waiting. Pm me if there is any movement on the price.
10. Take the neck off your guitar and with some paper and a crayon make a trace by colouring lightly on the paper the covered area where the pickguard should be. The crayon will pickup the screwholes and the neck cutout. Send this trace to the above mentioned fabricator and he will do the business. I did this with an old squier I couldn't for the life of me find a plate for. I made mine myself out of aluminium. It fitted perfectly and looked the dogs bollix. Give it a try what have you got to lose.
11. Glad to see you've warmed to the postal service. Good luck with the sale. This bass is ace I played one in a guitar shop in Cork Ireland a while back. For this money it's a steal.
12. Mmmmm that is so tasty.
13. Amen to that brother.
14. Call me gay, but I like it.
15. I had a flat mate who had one. He was a death metaller type. Bloody awful looking thing. The guitar was horrible too.
16. Well done redstriper.
17.
Two four strings with the same pick-ups/scale-length/number of frets/everything apart from a detuner? Am I missing something? Although if someone's going to pay upward of 42,500 for it they're not going to gig it much
Ha ha never even thought about that.
18. I think a time limit is in order here. If not paid for by lunch then it comes to me. I think that's fair. Money waiting in fact it's burning a hole in my pocket.
19. Why do I always miss these golden opportunities and on that note on the off chance that my two friends pull out can you please put me third on the list of people who want this bass at that price desperately.
20. Hi mate if it comes off hold please pm me.
How do the DD pickups compare to the standard Squier ones?
They are really good. Must agree this is an excellent guitar. I've had 3 over the last few years the first one i sold because I was skint the second I still have and play regularly. The third one I used for parts on frankensteins i was banging up. These are excellent basses.
22. That looks the business. Great neck. I need a custom neck building I might give him a shout.
