Hey just wondering if anyone could shed some advice on a problem of mine. I was just playing my P bass through a WTX260 when there started to develop a crackle, mostly when i played when resting my thumb on the screws of the pickups, this crackling continued then all sound cut out. Turn off the head and back on again, now sound is coming back through but at quite a reduced output, i'm completly stumped and can only think there may of been a grounding problem, or what i'm wearing is quite staticy? As you can tell im quite new at this so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Help & advise please for decent practise combo?

Yes it is the A35, erm pros wise it does sound pretty good currently running my P bass through it. The kickback function is pretty cool, how ever when stood up or kickedback it doesnt take much effort too knock it over onto its back, i now have something rattling about inside from this. The aluminium cone also gives quite a unique sound i think, so you might want to hear one in person first, i would recommend it though. -

I'm currently using a Hartke, its quite nice. Has a good tight sound, one thing though there is a lot of hiss from the unit if you use it with headphones. -
I've been searching the web and the forums for any hands on info about this little head unit, wondering if anybody has any personal experince with one or heard anything about it? Was planning to combine it with a Aguilar GS112, would this work out well? Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry i'm all very new to this. Cheers

Fair enough, how do you i go about wiring in parallel then, im guessing its not as easy as soldering white to white and black to black of the two outputs?

I think i read somewhere that series gives a higher output? Or does it just change the sound? Cheers

I'm planning on wiring a olp musicman pickup into a standard tone volume setup, but the pickup has two sets of black and white wires, would i be right in assuming that to wire it in series i just wire one of the grounds to the other sets live and then proceed as normal? Cheers
I'd personally go for the active version, the BB614 - superb value for money - espec. if you can pick up a secondhand one - on saying that, the 414 is a great bass! Cheers Nick
I agree the 614s are very playable and the precision pickup sounds amazing. So buy a BB614! Hey for sale i have a Trace elliot GP7SM 130 head, has a 260 watt peak. Features a 7 band graphic eq, passive and active inputs, deep and bright boots, mute switch, tuner out and effects loop. Its capable of powering two cabs via 8 ohm outputs. Comestically its taken a bit of a beating but it all functions perfectly. Looking for about 130 pounds collected from Uttoxeter preferabley, though i am up in Manchester quiet often so would be prehaps someone could collect from there. Cheers

Hey i have a yamahah BB614 in sunburst for sale. Bought the bass back in January of this year from Dawsons music in Manchester. I'm selling it becasue it doesn't get the use it deserves. Currently strung with a set of rotosounds black nylons. Bass is in good condition, not really any major dents or scratches visable. Looking for about 170 pounds collected from Uttoxeter, would happily travel about an hour on the train to deliver though. Comes with a warick rock bag. Might be persuaded to post as i do have a hard case avaliable. Sorry for the quality of pictures.

Hey, sadly someone else has first dibs on PMs, but just in case that falls through. The kit does include the drum module for this price, just really need to clear up space in the house hence the price. Yeah the hi hat pedal is one that originally comes with the kit, just this wired up one you can place anywhere really.
