One of the original crew from 2007. But not posted anything since....2014. Crikey! Great looking through some of my old posts. Hoping to be able to pop in more often! So, hello to anyone that remembers me - which could well be the many people I bought & sold loads of basses & gear with! Sibob - you still got that '71 Precision...?
In the last day or so, my BC notifications started to be flagged as junk, so they've been going into my spam folder. I've had to create a rule in Gmail to mark them as 'not junk' to force them into my inbox instead. If you use Gmail, or your email provider uses the same rules, that'll be why.
This was the very first thing I checked. And there are no bass chat emails in my spam filter.
How suddenly? - Yesterday you got them, today you didn't?
Was getting email notifications for PM before yesterday (26th Feb) - but then had two PM's without any email notification. Had changed no settings in my account...

I'm getting it as well - on every page... And, to be frank, that casual throw away response of "Someone hacked the front page of the site a few days ago but it's all been cleaned up." is a little worrying as that means someone has gained access to either the FTP login details for the entire site or the CMS control panel. WTF?

Bass Culture: The John Entwistle Bass Collection
I'm sure mine wasn't more than £20. Didn't realise it had become so desirable.
+1 Amazing how book prices rocket when they go out of print, which I can only presume is what has happened, here... I picked up a copy of 'The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions: The Official Story of the Abbey Road Years 1962-1970' a few years ago for £20-30 (essential book along with 'Recording The Beatles') & they now sell for £200 upwards as they're out of print & very hard to get hold of... I've got the first edition from 1988 & the re-print from 2006 is selling (new) for £553.61 on Amazon!! -
I had that exact model/colour back in the early 80's...a great, great bass...only sold it because I was getting a Wal custom. The colour looks even better in real life as you can see the grain much better than in the photos... Wish I hadn't looked at that link - very tempting!

That brings back some great memories. My first 'good' amp was an Ohm combo - 60W, 15" speaker, the one with the built-in compressor... Used it for all sorts of things. Brilliant little combo. The build quality was really good.
ACS all the way, don't sell yourself short, I haven't looked back since getting mine 2 years ago. Si
+ 1000 Any branch of Specsavers can do the test/fitting for ACS....
