it's a bloody bargain for £350.00 so no silly offers please. come on its a fooking cheap nice jazz bass.
Calm down! I understand your frustration, I think the reason why people might have been reluctant to pay £400 is that American Jazz basses have been for sale for £400 before on this forum, and most people would rather have an American Jazz bass than a Mexican one - I do know that this is a special edition Mexican Jazz but the fact that it's Mexican does affect it's resale value IMHO.

Defretting a Jazz Bass with block inlays...
Frusty replied to Frusty's topic in Repairs and Technical
Just a quick post to say thanks for the replies so far! In work at the mo but will post a more detailed reply later -
This is perhaps a silly question, but I have never tried anything like this so bear with me! I am considering defretting an old Jazz bass copy that I have. The neck has block inlays. Are there any problems with using a neck with block inlays as a fretless neck? Will there be a change in tone as you slide from note to note over one of the inlays? Again, sorry if this is a silly question!

Fender P / Wizard Thumper/pot upgrade / other bits
Frusty replied to niceguyhomer's topic in Basses For Sale
It seems that upgrades don't really add that much resale value to an insturment, regardless of whether they are any good or not. For example, I listed a lovely mex strat on this board and others, which had a full set of lace sensor pickups (cost £90) installed, and came with a fender usa hard case and a strap. And I was asking £300 for the lot and no one was interested. In retrospect I'm glad I didn't sell it, but my point is that alot of people will be reluctant to pay £325 for this because they can get a mexican fender for just over £300 brand new on the internet. The one advantage you do have is that some potential buyers have tried it at bass gatherings, so one of them may well snap it up. I'm sure it's a lovely bass, and good on ya for putting flats on it - motown-tastic! -
Cab: £125 ovno including cover
Is this the same cab, for £130 brand new? (I could be totally wrong of course!) http://www.rockingrooster.co.uk/product_info.php?PID=434 If this is the same cab, maybe £125 is a bit too much when you can get it brand new for a fiver extra? One of these cabs sold on ebay recently for £80: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ashdown-MAG-115-Deep...1QQcmdZViewItem The combo is about £300 brand new, so £200 does seem a fair price for that. It's a very nice setup!
