i have bought and sold a bunch of basses on ebay, from plain janes to absolutely wacky. (G.A.S is a terribly expensive hobby) When the exchange rate was in our favour the US was a happy hunting ground. (lakland skyline from a self confessed 'polka emporium music shop" for £350 anyone?). I have a pretty good idea of prices i guess. Just thought the market seems very slow on here at the moment. I have tried selling my Warwick corvette, Dingwall and Maruszczyk (concerned that some are perceiving them as having bad re-sale values....) to little or no enquiries whatsoever...not even 'thats too much' slap downs or 'I had one of those' affirmations . Its all excellent kit yet stony silence except for the Warwick and the chap bailed out for personal reasons (obv not a market thing..). Just bemused. As for pricing it it that unreasonable to want to sell an as new £1400 bass at 30 to 40% off?? The vintage market is something else and the rarity of JV Squier has almost created its own eco-system. But the £500 to £1000 market seem sluggish for anything other than a boutique fender clones or a fender with the crap kicked out of them. One other observation... is the 5 string falling more out of favour now?....seems to be. Oh yeah and my three are...5 stringers.

Interesting...both of mine are higher end bits of kit, dingwall and a maruszczyk, had a Warwick corvette up earlier in the year as well and that was the same...prices were market savvy but I guess all year it's been flat...

I dunno, seems like the second hand market is all but dead above £500 ?? Quite alarming number of **PRICE DROP** entries on the board. Myself I have had no interest not even cheeky offers for the Dingwall I had for sale. so there's me trying to down size and trading/px seems to be the name of the game... I have bought and sold a few basses over the years...never seen it like this. Could be the dread B***IT I suppose Thoughts???

No, interest..WITHDRAWN Ok, up for grabs is my 5 string bass from Maruszczyk. In excellent condition. Its a 'super Jazz' brilliantly lightweight, massive tonal pallette. Bought this lovely instrument at the start of the year from this very manor, but space and and a very agressive downsizing campaign means it is now up for grabs (see other listings). Recently re-strung witha shiny set of D'addario pro steels. List price £1499, built in 2017 Had a recent check out at the bass gallery by Mr P, for what turned out to be a faulty jack socket. All sorted and in full fettle NOW £1050 Specification : Chambered Alder body Etimoe top with matching headstock Hard rock Maple neck 34.25” scale Bird’s Eye Maple fingerboard with 24 frets, including zero fret Delano SBC5HE humbucker + 2 switch (series / single coil / parallel) + mid frequency select Delano 3 band EQ with Active / Passive switching Precision bridge and light tuners 19mm string spacing 3.9kgs Link: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/MARUSZCZYK_Elwood_L5A_24_Etimoe.html i currently work in London, live in Rochester and will meet up where reasonable. Supplied with a nice flightcase. Thanks for looking.

No interest, **WITHDRAWN** HI Here, I am selling a Combustion 5 Dingwall. First up its in perfect condition. Setup is great, currently sporting a healthy set of Dingwall strings. As you can see from the photos is trans black over Ash. Three band graphic, 4 way pickup selector and volume. Passive/active switch (the standard Dingwall pre-amp, not the darkglass) . The switch is black as opposed to the original silver. I love this bass, its very distinctive a real pleasure to play. The sustain on this beast goes on forever! I absolutely guarantee the sustain on the b is the best on the market. It even has a funky magnetic battery cover. Also routed at the factory for the the NG2 pickup layout (although you'd have to change the scratchplate to a NG2 layout as well if needed..). The scratchplate is vinyl wrapped, easily removable but very sturdy , looks great and suits the bass better imho. Playing the fan fret layout is an easy jump in my experience, I am no bass genius but its ok, with a little bit of work. The lower 7 frets or so are pretty much like normal with a little bit of adjustment, the higher register on the D and G are bit more work to learn. A Very comfortable bass to play all in all. Selling in a murder my darlings move to clear space down to one 5 string. So selling many to leave a few. (sighs). Comes with a good solid (non dingwall) flightcase. Weight is under 4kgs. £1000 revised price. I work in London, Live in Rochester, Kent. So Pickup from either location can be arranged. Can post at buyers expense, will always ship insured. Trades possible on basses that have 'musicman classic' in the description.

UPS - Unbelievably Poor Service. Avoid this courier...
BaggyMan replied to Dood's topic in General Discussion
Ermmmm sorry but UPS has been the only courier I have trusted over the years. Hermes...omg never. That said I always pack basses industrially protected so it could be even the dumbest courier can't break the contents. And always insure. -
This is the four knob two band I am going for... https://www.mojotone.com/Pickups_x/Mojotone-Bass-Pre-Amps/music-man-clone-2-band-bass-4-knob Will let you know how it goes (note: I am not affiliated to this company or any other for that matter...)
