  1. I can see it, damn fine looking bass. another place another time and it would have been another bass !
  2. I had one of these for a good while and upon reflection shouldn't have let her go. (this may even have been it!) These are gig monsters, knock ANY p bass i have ever played...and there have been a few,...into the weeds. You cannot dial a bad sound out of these. Slightly smaller than a p bass with a more jazz like neck, make them easy to live with when you get to that 'ooooh my back' ...part of the evening. Dont let the lack of tone control put you off, these are great guitars. GLWTS
  3. GAS attack. For no other reason than i have developed an overwhelming urge for a Yamaha BB or Pacifica Ltd (the sheehan-like model or perhaps and Pacifca...) I am putting up my Shuka modified Ray 34CA for Sale or swap/swap with cash balance. Tried selling it on the evil place that shall not be named and got thoroughly messed about. Basically its a rather lovely 2 band sunburst Ray34CA with a thick flamey maple top, dual pickups like the cutless or 2HB layout, back mounted controls so the front is all wood and shiney-ness. The Ray 34CA on its own is worth the £424 cash/swap value. So you'd get the shuka-ness for free. Deal! IMHO Plays great, sounds great. C'mon throw me a bone here.....GGGGaAAAAAAAAssssssss...
  4. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:210628] interested in swap +cash on a Shuka customised stingray? I have the ray at £475.
  5. Swap for a dual HB sterling 'ray 34CA ?? customised by shuka? I have mine up for 475 but will do a straight swap. Dont even want a case. Love BTB's.
  6. Here we have a modified Sterling Ray 34CA bass. Originally a sunburst (and the back still is), it is now capped with a slab of quilt maple by shuka, dual Humbucker with three way selector switch making it exactly like the 2HB 'ray model Original pre-amp was failing so I repleaced it with the retrovibe 2 band circuit. Excellent trad musicman sounds. All in all in excellent condition looking for Sale preferred but may consider part ex against something interesting..4 or 5 string
  7. I have a dual humbucker 'ray 34 CA 4 string customised by Shuker, 2 band EQ, Great bass, interested in a straight trade? will PM a pic
  8. I had one of these in this configuration for over a decade. Best neck of any bass I have ever owned. TRB 1 are overlooked classics! Nothing in the TRB luine comes close. Cashless otherwise I would be a knocking at yer door. Have a bump.
  9. G & L SB-2, take a play they are really good. More tonal breadth than a P bass and a little smaller. Good balance and massively underrated.
  10. Freebie bumperoony, Have the ash 5 string and its the puppies dangly bits. Punches waaaaaay above it weight. Great price GLWTS
  11. Great bass btw I have recently bought my old one back.
  12. I have recently spoken to someone who found out after leaving it for commission sale at the gallery that his GL Jazz didn't sell because the scratch plate was wrong (how long does it take to change a scratchplate.??). Looks like the GL buyer is picky about originality i suppose. GLWTS

  16. Dave has indeed done a deal. I just dont get the second hand market on ACG's atm. I have a J type graft 5 and is the puppies dangly bits. Some folk struggle with the filter pre-amps, but that is a simple upgrade on a very finely made instruments Anyhow Dave you are gonna like the Gallus enjoy.
  17. Amazed this hasn't fund a new home...open to interesting swaps...anything with 5 strings...
  18. East filter type pre-amp taken from my ACG graft J type bass (two pickup). Three knob version. Simple solderless installation.
