1. Shame you aren't trading, I would trade my ACG 5 string for the 5-er (plus some cash..). Sighs.
2. I used the own this SB-2 its the puppies dangly parts. Awesome gigging tool, knocks ANY P bass into the weeds.
3. Really? no one out there that needs some ACG magic in there lives???
4. G & L are defniately the industry secret of basses. the SB-2 is an excellent bass, knocking anything in the same preice bracket into the weeds. I had one of these for a good while, great gigging bass.
5. Last price drop, final and.....well you get the idea... £550 buys this lovely bass, cant get anymore bargain basement than that bass chums. Go on check down the back of the sofa, smash the 'for a rainy day' piggy banks. I am looking for an active PA monitor so will Px against one of those...come on you're worth it!
6. I used to own a Fender Geddy Lee and TBH the fit and finish on my J & D is just as good. Favorite amongst owner appears to be upgrades (i have put some otter pickups on mine). All that said the play well straight out of the box, neck pocket and finish is excellent, Any add ons are a bonus IMHO. At this sort of price it should torch any thoughts of cheap Sq's or similar. They really are good.
7. Up on ebay now as well...unfortunately bills to pay
8. We all know the S.U.B story..this is the USA one... Pretty sure its 2003 vintage, in a sort of pertrol blue metallic with a replaced scratchplate (thank goodness the original are beyond awful). Unfortunately this sits in he cupboard due to my new Sire v7 elbowing pretty much everything off stage atm. And i need a new amp.. Its good to play and inevitably I'll land up re-buying one again when I get theat Musicman itch (i have owned 5 stringrays including this chap). Its in 8/10 condition (the neck finish always looks road worn on these) https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ thanks to all for your interest

..

Had one of these for many years, stupid to sell it...damn that G.A.S...GLWTS
10. Hi Zawinul, the width at the zero fret is 43mm, the neck is asymetric so its about 25mm at the deepest (rough measurement, Alan will supply more accurate numbers i suspect). Alan building you a direct replacement neck means when its time to move on you'll be able to have that as a selling point perhaps. I have a fretless with a j-p configuration and play almost exclusively on the bridge pickup. The pre amp has the connector for a second pickup. I may be changing my other ACG pre amp with has the extra blend pot etc, maybe we can sort something out for that. If you are considering it I can ship it back to moffat directly, saves shipping to you, then to Alan. Whatever suits you really. Thanks for you interest. GF
11. Must be holiday season...no-one out there?
12. Thanks scoop. Yes indeed its a nice player, unusual yes, but a unique bass that you'd certainly wont see another of anytime soon.
13. ACG 5 string Gallus (2010) £600 — Based in Rochester, also work in London, will post at buyers expense. An early (2010) Handmade Gallus style bass guitar by Alan Cringean, from Moffat in Scotland (acguitars.co.uk) . Very High quality (it would cost you £200 just for the pre-amp) this is a lovely bass, which I have to find a new home for (car crashes are expensive! and now i need a new amp...). If i had to compare it in looks, think Warwick dolphin..ish. Very nice weight, easy on the the old neck muscles! Light bass, sits well on the lap as well as the strap. You certainly wont see many of these around. In very nice condition (two 1mm size dints as far as i can find). ACG's are fast becoming a cult bass manufacturer due to the very high quality of build. Neck 5 string, 35" scale Bolt on 24 fret Rosewood board zero radius alloy side dots. 3 piece Maple neck with dual action trussrod. Asymmetric neck carve. Body Alder with black limba top (a type of mahogany) Hardware Hipshot bridge Type B spacing 18mm. Gotoh GB7 tuners. ACG Custom FB humbucker. Hipshot string tree ACG EQ02 3K/S filter preamp (addition capability for a second pickup if needed) https://www.flickr.c...6/in/datetaken/ Have price dropped this as I need to move on....If you have an active monitor I'll even px with the appropriate balance......
14. This be mine. Its the Uber Graft 5 on youtube getting demo'd. I also have a Gallus coming.... ACG GAS is good and a baaaaaadd thing all at the same time!
15. Dunno what it is with G&L they are seriously better than their ancestors and yet no-one talks about them. As a fellow G& L sb2 owner ..they are awesome and very easy to live with...so have a bump
16. Get a price from pharos parcel, they are really reasonable..and no i do not work for them. Have used them quite a few times, very good.
17. Ok, I give up...WITHDRAWN. Sigh. Moderator please mod title of thread. Thanks
18. Kind of dismayed no-one has space for this lovely bass!
