These 40th Anniversary basses (i am also selling a Jazz) are really quite something. The matte/silk finish is excellelnt, and the red of this one sets off the Anodised scratchplate very nicely. This one is a bit more special...let me explain.. Firstly the chap i bought it off had it plekked at time of purchase and then pretty much sold it straight to me (he landed up buying a USA P bass) So thats a £200+ upgrade righ there I have upgraded the pickups to Dimarzio DP122's. No stone left unturned, i even replaced the screws for the scratchplate to gold plated for a cleaner look. I am offering this at two levels: £400 includes the Babiscz bridge. £325 will be fitted with either the original BBOT bridge or a Fender Hi Mass unit so buyers choice. Top end presentation on this bass, lovely to play, looks great, unmarked.

Final listing before going on a music shop (yes they still exist) on commission. I have followed Billy sheehan for many ...many years and always wanted one of his basses. Prior to being able to afford one, i built one..and here it is reluctantly up for sale (as is the attitude just as reluctantly.. see other listing). The clear out is cutting DEEP. Good solid body (poplar I think, the right weight, not super light pawlonia) Fender Hi mass bridge, 'wild bill' DP146 'will power' di marzio p pickups, DP1 humbucker, anodised scratchplate, CTS pots Wired like a Jazz as i didnt want to go dual output, easier to live with. Its no wallflower and has some live gigs in its belly, so its not perfect but definately has a presense about it..like the original. Drop a detuner on the E and you have as close a Billy sheehan p bass as you'll get short of a £1k+ attitude. Sticker and waterslide easily removed if desired. You certainly wont see another like it..lol all the usuals, pop in, post at buyers expense

Final listing before going to a music shop (yes they still exist) on commission. The billy sheehan bass, no shrinking violet this... Dual outputs, fiercesome pickups and beast of a bass. Not scratched, one small dint, that hasnt broken or cracked the finsh. The is the 25th Anniversary version, The 'p' pickups have been uprated to the relentless pickups found on the very latest version. Also these have neck dive (its not a small bass!) so i have changed the tuners to hipshot ultralite including the detuner. Stickers are what came with the bass (see 'spooky' Billy sheehans homage to his beloved cat) and in keeping with the vibe, yet removable if needed. Selling with original tuners included. Comes with original case. All the usuals, come round to try, can post at buyers risk and expense (insured)

NOW £275 A long term project bass of mine that sadly now has to go. Finished in Metallic blue, P-J body with routing for a battery on the back (currently enclosed by a plate). Bound Squier VM jazz neck and tuners, used to have the 'Fecker Jizz bass' waterslide, I have removed that re-lacquered the headstock. Early 90s vintage EMG P-J active pickups, punchy and powerful. Gotoh bridge Anodised black aluminium scratchplate. Side mount Jack. Flattop tele style knobs Few little dints around the body but a solid workhorse of a bass, easily good enough to gig (i know because i have...) Sounds great, looks great, set up to fender standard specs, action can go lower. All the usuals, come to try, will post at buyer expense insured.

Final listing before going to a music shop (yes they still exist) on commission. These are great basses for the budget end of the field, but are known for two things negatively, neck dive and a poor pre amp. Well not this one. I have modified the headstock (kind of like the CLF headstock now) , fitted lighter tuners dealing with the neck dive. I have also added an Artec 3 band pre amp, vinyl wrapped the scratchplate in blue chopped carbon car wrap. Ash body Roswell pickups Through body stringing Six bolt neck construction Tusq nut Sets up really well, good sounding bass, well built. Ford sticker easily removable Downsizing the herd...sadly. All the usuals, come round i have biscuits, or happy to post at buyers expense (insured)

Final listing before going to a music shop (yes they still exist) on commission Sterling by Musicman Ray34 quilt top, roasted maple neck hip shot detuner. 3 band EQ No scratches or through the lacquer dints, i'd call it 9.5/10. Truss rod in full working order. Set up is excellent, plug and play.. Choppped carbon wrap on the plate, I have others available, grey marble, tort available f.o.c Also looks great without the plate at all. A very classy bit of kit. All the usuals, come round, meet up, post at buyer expense (insured).

Top swap sending our basses in blind faith via couriers. The courier messed up big time my end and @Paddy777 was very patient whilst i sorted them out. Great transaction and very happy with my new Lakland. Top chap.

This is a beauty of a bass. I bought it and unfortunately soon after the volume control failed on the pre amp. I replaced it with a Nordstrand pre including a parallel/series switch for the humbucker. Good tonal range all in a great build quality (great piece of Ash on this) absolutely nothing to comment unfavorably on other than the Key on the G string is slightly (and I mean slightly) out of line. Just a fabulous bass to play. Nothing to hinder good operation. Not heavy which is good for an ash body. Frets are perfect. No huge scratches or Dints. Previous owner put a bit of play wear onto the scratchplate (tort) i have carbon wrapped it, suits imho easily removable if desired. This bass has some presence about it for sure. Located in Kent, Will meet up for fuel and coffee costs within reason. Can courier at buyers expense. bank xfer or paypal works, cash with personal presentation etc

G & L are a stealth make and i really dont know why. They are awesome Here is an example of a TRIBUTE L2000 Ash body, maple over maple neck. MFD pickups (industry legend these...) Active passive switching, pickup selector (check the attached diagram out for details)..there is a lot on offer here. Superbly set up, new strings only very very slight traces of wear. its a 9.9/10 imho. A shade over 4kg so not super heavy as Ash can be on occasion. All the usuals, can box and ship at buyers expense, pop on round...i'll even hoover and put the kettle on.
