  1. Top swap sending our basses in blind faith via couriers. The courier messed up big time my end and @Paddy777 was very patient whilst i sorted them out. Great transaction and very happy with my new Lakland. Top chap.
  2. what do you have in mind?..pm me who knows eh?
  3. This is a beauty of a bass. I bought it and unfortunately soon after the volume control failed on the pre amp. I replaced it with a Nordstrand pre including a parallel/series switch for the humbucker. Good tonal range all in a great build quality (great piece of Ash on this) absolutely nothing to comment unfavorably on other than the Key on the G string is slightly (and I mean slightly) out of line. Just a fabulous bass to play. Nothing to hinder good operation. Not heavy which is good for an ash body. Frets are perfect. No huge scratches or Dints. Previous owner put a bit of play wear onto the scratchplate (tort) i have carbon wrapped it, suits imho easily removable if desired. This bass has some presence about it for sure. Located in Kent, Will meet up for fuel and coffee costs within reason. Can courier at buyers expense. bank xfer or paypal works, cash with personal presentation etc

  4. G & L are a stealth make and i really dont know why. They are awesome Here is an example of a TRIBUTE L2000 Ash body, maple over maple neck. MFD pickups (industry legend these...) Active passive switching, pickup selector (check the attached diagram out for details)..there is a lot on offer here. Superbly set up, new strings only very very slight traces of wear. its a 9.9/10 imho. A shade over 4kg so not super heavy as Ash can be on occasion. All the usuals, can box and ship at buyers expense, pop on round...i'll even hoover and put the kettle on.
  5. PJB Phil Jones Bass Cabinet C8 Model C8 Power 800 W Speaker 8x5" 8Ω 25Hz-15KHz Dimensions 14.2 x 12.4 x 24 inch 360 x 320 x 640 mm (W x D x H) Great Cab fit in just about any car, has transport handle and wheels. I have run Bugera Veyron, Darkglass and trace elliot amps through it and it always gets complimented on tone, size and loud as...etc I actually have two and tbh thats too many as just one covers the ground easily. Its done some gigs and i have learnt through having the first one for a few years that some Gaffa tape along the bottom edge stops the covering getting chewed when being wheeled about. Some wear on handle but functionally as good as the day it was bought. Not an original cover but works with the handle deployed so all good. Suggest a meet somewhere exchange or pickup from Rochester as postage would be pricey.
  6. Sea foam green (its looks a little blue in some photo's..its green) Roasted maple neck, not over cooked like some i have seen really nice. Gloss headstock, rest is satin...really nice in the hand. Through strung or top loader bridge with grooving for modest string spacing adjustments. Currently set up with Ernie ball roundwounds All the reviews quote a very slight bottom end scoop on the stock pickups, no problem on this one, Dimarzio DP122 fitted, sounds awesome, big output!. Alternatively I have a brand new set of tone rider pickups which i will fit for a more traditional p bass vibe. One very small scuff in the belt buckle area nothing throught the finish so not that visible. I have wrapped the tortoishell scratchplate in a chopped carbon car wrap, and changed the knobs to flat top tele style black ones. Since the pictures were taken i have fitted silver scratchplate screws for some contrast. These or black, either is an option to the buyer.
  7. Music we usually start the gig to i the pub jukebox they forget to turn off before we start. Step 1: Politely ask at the bar Step 2: Ask over the PA. (normally ignored) Step 3: Ask again (now shouting over the PA helps, expletives optional) Step 4: Offer to mime to the jukebox Step 5: Play along with the jukebox until they notice Step 6: Start gig...late Step 7: Mid gig break, repeat steps 1-6
  8. I had one of these for years and loved it then inexplicably sold it. These are monsters of value and playability, and if this was for trade i be there in a flash..sadly cash supply is dry atm. GLWTS (wise choice keeping one they dont come up that often)
  9. G&L are the stealth brand of all stealth brands. The SB-2 is the swiss army knife of basses, punchy, easy to play yet still no one knows about them. GLWTS and condolenses to the family in their loss.
  10. I have a bugera to trade or a Markbass 500w

  11. ray34's are wired parallel. I have modified sub4's in the past to have series/parallel and would have done this one as well, but there isnt enough space under the plate for a switch.
  12. Ray34, with a lovely quilt top, roasted maple neck replete with hip shot detuner. 3 band EQ No scratches or through the lacquer dints, i'd call it 9.5/10. Truss rod in full working order. Set up is excellent, plug and play.. Choppped carbon wrap on the plate, I have others available, grey marble, tort available f.o.c Also looks great without the plate at all. A very classy bit of kit. All the usuals, come round, meet up, post at buyer expense (insured).
  13. Sea foam green (its looks a little blue in some photo's..its green) Roasted maple neck, not over cooked like some i have seen really nice. Gloss headstock, rest is satin...really nice in the hand. Set up with Earnine balls roundwound..did i mention through strung? All the reviews quote a very slight bottom end scoop on these, no problem on this one, Dimarzio DP122 fitted, sound awesome. One very small scuff in the belt buckle area nothing throught the finish so not that visible. I have wrapped the tortoishell scratchplate in a chopped carbon car wrap, and changed the knobs to flat top tele style black one. This is a great bass, oozes class. I am selling only becuase my car broke and somethings gotta give. My loss your gain, buyer basically get the dimarzios for free.
