2. I love a personal bass (from afar, how sad). No neck pup? That's refinement.
3.
And you can buy the DVD brand new for a quite ridiculous £4.98 from Amazon. The best £4.98 you could ever spend!
You stingy basstard (or is that me?). I was hoping someone would put it on so I could compare it with my own tone. I'm too impatient for postage; the film has impassioned me --- I was playing with only my index finger earlier today. I found it really helped with rhythm and consistency.
4. Good advice, kt. But I think Murph said he got bashed about a bit. So maybe boxing isn't such a great idea for a budding bassist. I can't read this thread without beginning to cry.
5. Someone with the DVD has to put up a sound file of the bit with Bernadette where the bass is almost solo-d. That tone is it. It's it. Yes, please, someone post it!
6.
That's quite the indepth introduction! Welcome to the boards!
+1, nice one! welcome along.
7. I think it goes back to the original settings when you open it up. (I was doing this today). I assume that once you set them, that's how they stay. I don't think there's a way of confirming it. Would love for someone to correct me, though, as I'd quite like to know, too.
8. Nowhere to run is on. It's making me so happy
9.
How heavy-duty? If you're just basically wrapping it in cardboard, raid the local supermarket. For heavier-duty, there's quite a few places. I use Fitted Box largely because the future Mrs Zero works there.
Cheers, tau. I asked if the supermarkets had them, but they never seem to. I reckon there's a place with millions of used boxes somewhere. I don't understand why they're such an enigma. I'll ring round the s'markets on Monday.
10. wellello. where abouts in the SW are thee?
11. This is the saddest story ever told. And my worst nightmare. Isn't there some sort of trebling effect you can send to your ear whilst retaining the natural tone for your audience?
12. Would love to know how that sounds. Why replace with EA?
13. Are you selling? Just revise the item. I don't really understand what's going on.
14. Welcome to't forum, haimsey. Lovely basses.
15. Aww, they're lovely.
16. Howdy Chris. Like teh intro
17. I've just popped a combo for sale on ebay. Can anyone please recommend places to get boxes?
18. Welcome CoverMeBadd. Best of luck in your audition. Have you heard Sarah McLachlan's cover of Blackbird. I think I might just prefer it to the original paul.
19. So does anyone know if DAB+ is still in the pipeline. It's the only reason I hadn't bought a player yet. from 'pedia
An upgraded version of the system has now been developed, called DAB+. The new standard, the full details of which were published in 2007, is not backward-compatible with the original standard. The vast majority of existing DAB receivers and those on sale in the shops will not be able to receive DAB+ radio services when they are launched; however, a range of DAB+-upgradeable receivers are now available in the shops. Several countries are expected to launch DAB+ broadcasts over the next few years, including the UK,[5] Australia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Malta, and podcast services using the DAB+ format will be launched in the UK in 2008.[6] There is also a great deal of interest in using DAB+ in Asian countries, such as China.
20. I like to pretend I can play For Once In My Life.
21. Sorry to interrupt the banter. Just wanted to say how great the wiki looks. Thank you kindly for the time you've put in, BF, greatly appreciated.
