1. It's kinda like a new mini.
2.
Hard to say, really - usually the stuff you pick up at car boots & charity shops for buttons! Not too many bargains on the Bay, because it's all becoming a bit collectable... J.
Cool. Cheers, Jon. Will remember those names and keep my eyes open.
3. Howdy Pris, welcome to BC.
4. Heylo, welcome, and thanks for the smooches.
5.
I am looking for an acoustic to keep handy around the house.
Oh, sorry, I missed that. It's good to keep an open mind, though. I wish I had had a case for mine, it's now pretty battered. --- Here's a thread with some 140 discussion. Hope you get some more here. 6. Hey, cool handle. Welcome to BC.
7. A hard case can come very much in handy just in case you want to take it anywhere on its own to play unplugged. I probably wouldn't buy an acoustic without one because a good fitting case can be hard to find due to the various shaped. Also their bulky/fragile nature welcomes a case just in case you need it safely out of the way at any point. Plus the fact that if you wanted to sell it online, there's relief in the fact of a safer courier journey. Many of these things might be irrelevant to a pro, but if you just want to go down the beach for an acoustic jam, a good case can come in handy.
8. There's a recurring theme for Wals being keepers. Any other ye olde faithful brands? I'm reluctant to mention jazz/Stingrays and Precisions because of the amount they get passed around. I bet most Fenders have herpes the amount of different crotches they meet. So..yea, any other long-term electric bass suggestions?
9. +1 === And I bet that Tokai posted earlier sounds fab.
10. I quite like the look of this one. Natural would look good too. It's the plastic look I'm not a fan of. - I guess that's the trouble with so many curves.
11. That's another world, Jim. beautiful. I'm cautious about semis after trying a TAB 66 (whichever is full-scale) and I didn't really appreciate the tone. It's certainly something I'll keep looking into, though, as I love the styling and the tone of the '60s records. Perhaps something with a couple of darkstars - What did Jefferson Airplane's bassist play?
12. Surprised this hasn't sold yet. It's otherworldly cool. I'm way out of its league.
13. *gasp* gawwjusss. Can't wait for more pics.

15. Welcome Mark! Better late then never.
16. Aww it looks sooo good. One of the best looking basses I've ever seen.
17. That's a right sexy Fen'er. Lovely grain.
