1. The story of paul's life. I'm bad enough to play the right note but not be able to tell it's the right note only to find out later that it actually was the right note, not a wrong one like I initially thought.
2. What wood is used on the bass? I like trees so this could be very persuasive.
3. I think the Precision prides itself on simplicity. I don't think it needs to be any better. Jazzes are nuts and flashy. How about that red Celinder (sp?), I think CK owns it.
4.
Check out our stickies in this forum.. there is a lot of discussion over how to spot dodgy auctions.
I don't think there is. Can we get this one pinned?
5. Stumbled on this. Don't know if it's menial/useful: Interactive Frequency Chart.
6. I know, selective quoting Foam at the bridge: awesome. That bass has a great vintage vibe. bump for value. ??? - I think due to the sheer amount of them; the appealing looks of yours will bump up the value considerably.
7. Oh, I'd love to try the Eden with the 12. 120watts isn't bad at all. Is there anywhere that attempts to describe the tone of various amps?
8. Howdy Hatori, 43 years, that's the mark set. I think there's only a handful with a few more years on 'em. I'd comment on how cool it is that you're a bushcraft skills tutor, but you already know how cool it is. Sounds like self-actualising stuff Welcome to the forum!
9. Return of an old thread! I played a friend's Wesley acoustic recently. Great for the money!
10. Welcome Alex! That College course sounds a lot of fun. I bet you learn a lot and quickly. What style of music gives you the biggest smile to jam? cheers, paul.
11. Welcome Ming! Lovely intro and the kind of gear I dream about at night. paul.
So what do you get up to here??
Unspeakable things. We type instead.
12.
All i currently have to play it through is my Ampeg SVT Pro 4 head
Poor you
13. I'm surprised BassChat doesn't do awards yet with yearly recommendations. I thought we could shake up the market a bit by discovering a few unknown gems and destroying stereotypes. Best value at various levels, best looker, bass of the year, amp of the year, life-time award etc. Maybe some comedy ones too. A chance for voting? Perhaps if not for 2007; ongoing threads with suggestions for 2008? Thoughts?
14. This is probably the bass I most want but can't afford right now. Beautiful, what are you playing it through?
15. Welcome Mike! What gear you gots? What music you likes?

18. Wow that Aerodyne is cool. I'll listen to those samples tomorrow.
19. Can you get tasty motown tones out of the P-pup?
20. Well you can't please everyone. A huge improvement, Sean. Probably my favourite modern bass on BC.
21. Is this the edition (mag) with JPJ on the front and a Laney/Ampeg tone-off? Or am I out of date?
22. I'm sure it's a bit late but I have a book with lots of different versions of Red House in it. Tabs for everything I think.
