2.
We can't all be perfect...........sniff.
I stand corrected. That's very sexy.
 3.
You dont see any listings with that info because it violates ebay's T&C.
Well that's a mitch.
 4. H&K are the dark horse in my opinion. Presentable too. Still dying to try out the QC412.
 5. Oh! That's the first a while that's made me sit up straight. Wonder how she sounds.
 6. Unless Fender cases' quality matches their prices I wouldn't go Fender. The only positive attribute is resale value, which is defeatist imo. Go with a respectable alternative that justifies its price.
 7.
Final value fees are not charged on postage/carriage. Lower the price. Raise the postage. Go figure.
Cheers obbm, I wasn't sure about that.
 8.
If you have two 8 ohm cabs and daisy chain them you will have 4 ohms. 8 & 8 in parrallel. Just set the amp to 4ohms. Sounds like a very nice amp
Is that right? I think I'm throwing a wobbly.
 9. I think they're all very different Ps. The Fender will be simple and reliable, the Sadowsky will be high-quality and modern. The BG will be aiming for a vintage tone. Definitely try them out first.
 10.
Now, I've been buying and occasionally selling on Ebay for some time so have a general idea when it comes to postal costs. However some people seem to bump up their postal charges to make extra money on the items they have sold. I recently bought an amp and paid £30 postage, didn't bother me too much at the time as it would have cost more to go and collect. What really got my back up was that it took the guy 2 weeks to post it. For £30 he could have sent it via a courier next day delivery and still have money left over. Grrrr
If he's complacent about delivery then he ought to be scolded for it. It's not good enough assuming he doesn't have a reasonable explanation (post strike?). Ebay/paypal charges are a big deal and expensive items reap expensive fees and it's arguable who should pay these. In my opinion, if a seller is planning to share out or lump all the fees on the buyer, the item description should notify this. Another thing, assuming packaging is scarce and finite, the seller may have this in mind. Time spent packing is also a concern. I just think sellers should be completely transparent about all the charges and that then becomes a term of bidding. This can add a pessimistic air to an item description, but is a worthy trade-off for complete understanding. Cheers John
I'm glad someone mentioned DHL after I heard the quote below. I'm sorry for not posting it sooner. From now on, any relevant information I see on other threads I'll quote so that people can search within and make a more informed decision.
Just arrived home to find my Thomann order on my doorstep in full view, unsigned for. That's £150+ worth of stock just waiting to be half-inched. Idiots.
That's referring to DHL, the thread is here.
 12.
Ok by law you need to get a tort or black pickguard on that and it will look the dogs.
Tort with rw. Black(/white/black) with maple IMO. Black/white is still a classic though.

 17. Welcome to BC Iain, that P looks fun. Not seen a four knobbed American before.
 18. I have a 212 WEM PA cab that currently houses a jenson and a carlsbro 10" speakers it's currently wired at 16 ohms. I use it with an 8ohm TE 115. It sounds about as rubbish as you might imagine.

 21. Welcome to BassChat Steve! - it's cool, it's groovy, it's number one.
 22. I like Dim's Model J for a vintage tone. Sound clips here: http://www.vial-family.ch/bass/session5.html I prefer them (personally) to Fralins, Sadowsky(eww) and the jazz ultra. You might have to shop around to get them around 50 though.
 23. You paid for a Sei and it isn't good enough?
 24. Updated Looks like UPS is a rising star. Would love to see more exploration with UK SameDay. :- They could become the choice value(?) service. Thanks for the input everyone.
