2.
Planning on piccies?
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...1451&page=9 Good enough OP? --- Have Trace done/do a 12 cab? Wattage of combo?
 3. I think for a simple/solid reliable tone; Japanese designed instruments are great value for money. They all look bland and dated to me though.
 4. I don't see how a fluffy strap is a problem. If you like it, wear it. Bollox to the freedom oppressors.
 5. --- You have great taste Geo, welcome aboard.
 6. If you're interested in something artistic for him, why don't you try making something yourself? Go for it.
 7. I did a search for your Hofner. Love seeing that.
 8. I've never forgotten how good he is. Love that tone too.
 9. Something like this? But not this.
 10.
Hi try checking out ebay item 180168382553 or 180169188029
You'd want a chart for your birthday?
 11.
Ah, Japan. And in my experience, Paul, Japan is by a long way the most materialistic country I've been to. Stuff = good.
12. I thought they were a high percentage of Buddhists.
 13. Leave neg' feedback and have done with it. I don't think he'll do it again.
 14.
both the status and the aria are pretty fugly to my eye...esp the status.
It's more about the tone with those basses -- agree with the vmj
 15.
So it's goodbye to Warwick & modern amps - & hello lovely old pre-CBS Precision & Ampeg valve gear.
That's all I knew before joining the forum. - It's all I want again now. Those cabs look great.
 16.
AHHHHH I think I've always had that regardless of what I'm into LOL BTW given the lovely tone and bass playing of the above song, can anyone recommend songs in a similar vein to listen out for?
No shame in asking about GAS, gotta find out sometime - well done for asking. Similar tone:- Motown and soul - there's literally so much. Early Gaye, early Stevie Wonder, Dusty in Memphis - tons.
Cheers Paul, should I start with replacing the G string down to E?
A good idea methinks. paul.

 18.
That was the central pivot point in my dispute with the Post Office - who defines what is "insufficient packaging" and by what criteria ....
"Your consignment/s must be packed to a professional standard, packed within a double walled box with the contents cushioned and protected inside. The packaging must also be sufficient to protect the products weight. Any claim resulting from a parcel that is not packaged to a professional standard and in line with the above will be declined." Fair enough I suppose. No mention of instruments specifically though.
I think that translates to: "whatever happens, we can and will find a way not to pay out for your loss because it'll be your fault..and if it isn't your fault, then we'll find a way to make it look like it was your fault!!"
eggsactly. And what is an 'Act of God'? The leaf fell, oh that's an act of God. He gave money to charity, an act of God. The delivery lacky kicked the sh*t out of your bass, undoubtedly an act of God.
Yes, I suspect he does indeed know about security. At least I know where he got the bass now Anyone out there order a Thunderbird recently? Chris
And I thought I was a proud, observant cynic. I feel so stupid knowing that I wouldn't have come to that conclusion. I bow to you master and pray that you disperse your wise mist of cynicism.
 19.
You should see him now! As for the amp - it looks like a vintage ampeg svt to me. Looks like it has been debadged...
What's the point with those trainers? (Great piccy)
