1. I'm just wandering if the interior material is red or brown. And whether it is of satisfactory quality. Thanks everyone!
2. Go'on how much? First song: "Pickguard Blues"
3. Hello, quick question: What colour is the 'velvet' inside the Thomann tweed cases? Also, to anyone who's got one: Do they do what's said on't' tin? (any good?)
4. Those mini epiphanys will come. I plateaued for about 2 years and then had three in the space of a month Learn theory, play in a band.
Welcome to the forum! Be careful not to trip over the egos on your way in.
Ouch Emmanuel, I was sittin' here.
5.
I am offering my collection of American bass player mags for sale, many rare and out of print issues from the late 80s to 2004,also i have a near complete set of bassist mags and a few other bass related books and bits, please contact me for details and offers. Thanks Majikal.
Are you selling any separately? Do you have March '94?
6. I like the mix of deep gorgeous wood and traditional styling. Would love to hear one, any sound clips exist?
7. My SS Kustom combo is the heaviest thing I've ever lifted. Must be the Naugahyde. Either that or disorientation from all theat sparkly blue.
8.
I thought you were going to try the Elites?
Swings and roundaboots. I have a flats fetish again. Lifespan is also a concern.
9.
Abso-bloodly-lutey Dave....exactly the design I would use. I would also attach a silicone nangeflaglet to the output of the reverse cathode muffplate so that the inverse current can draw sufficient voltage from the cocktruss array. What do you reckon? PS - Dave, loving the Purist VT1 mate. !!!
10. My attention has been brought to strings again. I've started looking at flatwounds and D'Addario Chromes (prob ECB81) are the most inviting due to price and availability. However, after further reading, the anti-stinge in me says I should got for TI Jazz Flats considering the amount of time I plan to have them on the bass. I'm after a warm, flexible, intonation friendly soul/blues/funk thump with the potential for upper register soloing. Is it definitely worth holding out for the TIs? --- Can anyone give a good link for affordable halfrounds? Cheers, paul.
11.
What? Like fungus on a baglady's feet?
Ahh, if only it was literal. I am the bass tree, come reap my bassy fruits.
12. That looks fantastic Sean! Those Laklands are really growing on me.
13. I don't think reserves are very good psychologically. Whereas in the same sense, a BIN or high starting price can work in your favour. If you're selling something that's a little bit special yet well known (like a cult rarity), then starting at 0.99 is probably a great idea.
14. I could never play Higher Ground properly in the trib' band and I like to kid myself that I can play For Once In My Life.
15. Oh, it's beautiful. If I could have any jazz, it would be one that looks like that. With cream/tort/rosewood dot trailing closely behind.
16. I unwrapped my early '70s Kustom Charger on Sunday. Solid State and a tone that makes me grin uncontrollably. Very 'warm' on the bridge pup. I'll start a thread at somepoint. Is there an amp porn thread?
17. To be honest, I don't think they're going to appeal to retro lovers. They've written down a list of what a retro guitar should have and proved that having a list isn't enough.
18. Cool! I wonder what they'd look like with the other P bridge cover.
19. The tangible manifestation of the void that is now your soul. j/k definitely the rolo thing.
20. There's the guy that makes those Buglefish(?) basses in Somerset. I have no idea if he's a commercial luthier or not or whether it's realistically near to you (I don't drive). I'd love to try that out. I love the ethics behind owning a locally made instrument.

Hey

Hey Col, welcome to Basschat!
22. YES! Gladys Knight & The Pips - "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" Bumm ba bu ba bumm. ba bu ba bumm bumm... I've had that C perfect on a few occasions so I know what I'm aiming for.
23. To be honest, I've had a go at the usual situations. But undoubtedly, I'm most happy when I'm jamming with my acoustic bass with a friend on acoustic guitar. I'm not a pro at talking in person, but I can get my personality across with music.
24.
That's what I did! It's a document that runs over several pages so I don't think I can attach it as one picture. I'll see what I can do tomorrow however. In the meantime, I'm happy to email it to anyone who needs it, simply PM me your address. Chris
sorry, I thought it was just an image file. I remember linking onto Basschat.
