Hi, Morris. Welcome to BC.
8. I appreciate the humble and the simple. Sadly, I think the tone I like has a lot to do with the amp, which are too expensive for me. If I was a serious upright player, I would probably pay any money I could towards a decent instrument.
9. Can't you buy a quieter fan? Folk often do for computers. (Disclaimer) I know nothing about this sort of thing.
10. It wasn't easy to find. I had to search for 'curly', remembering the lead.
11. The HD 555s seem like good value if you don't mind them being open.
12. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...st&p=115301
13. Nope.
14. Hasn't someone on here got an Orange head and a silver/black Aguilar cab? Probably the coolest looking rig on BC.
15.
I have Beyerdynamic DT770s and they are superb especially for bass, I even take them on sessions as I prefer them to the sennheisers that seem to be the studio can of choice.
I've just done a google image search. I may well have a headphone fetish.
16. Have you put a general location? gl with the sale.
17. I'll be interested to hear shop assistants' responses to this. Often you get better discounts if you're buying multiple items. Or, ask for a nice lead or two to be thrown in when you buy an amp... Strings when you buy a bass etc. To be honest, though, I do love unwrapping parcels. It's regression for me; childhood at Christmas.
18. The quickest way of getting over the old one will be gigging/jamming with a new one.
19. Just get a new drummer. I don't think having the old one doing tech is a good idea. I think my instinctual response to that suggestion may not have been pretty.
20. I don't normally like the look of MB gear, but that does look cool. It's like, if you're going to be yellow and black, you might as well be f*** off fifteens
21. As a film fan, I want a superhero style Tee that says 'Continuity Girl' on it. I think that's an original idea. I have no idea how I'd go about getting that.
22. Ooh, I want a '60s P.
23. Not all these links may be working.
