2.
Wayman Tisdale, ex-NBA basketballist and verrrrrrrrrrrry tall man
I can't imagine what a prune I'd look with that white/green/maple thing. Gah.. what I'd do to be young, gifted and black.
  3.
I value other people's opinion and comments because things start to grow on you - as you've found out Hamster
Too true! The votes have changed since I started introducing pictures as well Is she an active or passive?
  4.
Hmmm, good point! Will definately check them out. Have also seen ones with a humbucking J at the bridge, which I like the look of.
Deluxe non? Someone on BT was trying to sell a Hot-Rod for £499 - It could have been walbass(uk?) but I could be very wrong. (twas a while a go too).
  5.
Sorry mate, that just doesn't look right IMHO. Personally I'd go for something that matched the control plate. Just my thoughts you understand.
Oh, handed thought about that. Got to agree about the OLP, glad I haven't eaten yet EDIT Don't mind me, choose what you like the look of. Who gives a flying monkey duck what I or anyone else thinks. Although looking at that black-white-black on black, I'm starting to wish I bought the bass.
  6.
There's a website about these instruments here: http://www.watkinsguitars.co.uk/basses.htm And scroll down the page & there's your student's bass, in white! Looks like they would possibly be interested in hearing about this one, since they don't seem to know much about it. Jon.
That Wilson SAB is quite the stunner.
  7.
The other big disappointment for me has to be Fender Jazzes with rosewood 'boards and white blocks/binding. That is the ULTIMATE neck in terms of look for me but not a single one I've played has agreed with me. It's weird 'cos I have a Fender Jazz with a rosewood board which sounds great for fingerstyle and a late '70s Fender Jazz with maple neck and blocks/binding - amazing for slap and fingerstyle. Again, the big problem could be the crap strings / lack of a decent set-up.
You've got me worried, I'm after a copy of one of those; maybe a Greco, Pan or Aria Pro. Although I do like the Ric neck.
also trying to play a "V" shape sitting down
I hope you're the first person to try that!
  8. Wow, that wood is lush! What a great job! I've got to admit to liking the original logo though
  9.
You could, but imagine what your offspring would look like? How many strings would they have?
Woof! Wrong quote Bob.
  10. If it's special unto the SUB range, I would stick wit' yo Alu'. Although, if you can get that creamy looking pearloid pg like the one on that Modulus that was on BC (where's it gone, searches failed?) it might work very nicely, if not too over-indulgent. Edit I may well be referring to 'Aged Pearl' an shall vote thusly. Have you found piccys of what the bass will look like with each one? Eddit Again: I take it back, go matte black: (That white outline makes my knees go squishy)

Not that I'd ever wash a mango... More drugs or less?
  12. A bit of an odd ball. Would have guessed a modded Mex P-special but the headstock info I haven't seen before. CN(XXXXXX) VN(XXXXXX) Korean-made Fender/Squier guitars (dating unclear) http://www.fender.co.uk/support/usa_instruments.php
  13. You can't say butterscotch or buttercream when associated with bass or anything outside the realms of gastronomy without providing many-a-puissant piccy!
  14.
And just when I've sold my last gold-leafed, gun-totin', body-poppin', pope music box toilet roll holder. I'd have kept one by if I'd known. (Horrible thought. I bet they'd actually sell.) As the user of an Eden Nemesis combo, I'd love to have enough loot to stock up, as I've been impressed so far. Highly recommended if my experience of Eden gear is anything to go by.
I'll get on to that Wireless. I'm putting it off because it scares the living baJesus out of me.
  15. Peter Gabriel's quite the guy. I love the Real World CDs. I could exercise for 8 hours straight whilst listening to Farafina - Although I'm considerably saner now.

That's beyond me.. Do you mean when searching for bass info or brands and bc pops up? You see them on all manor of specific subs - It's funny seeing '*guests viewing this topic' on this thread. *Hello guest*
  17. On recently searching for the Aria Pro Jazz I discovered that 3 of the 9 aria pros on Ebay were left-handed. I'm a righty by the way. I'll die later, but I'm less creative.
  18.
Oh No! - I live waaaay too close to that shop
Lucky. It's a shame I'm so far away. I woke up this morning thinking; I'm in the mood for something hedonistically gold, sparkly and toneful yet ironically sacreligious.
  19. It's working. 'Amazing' wouldn't be my choice of adjective.

I've just found the 'Last Click' feature and discovered that it's mostly filled with Guests. I'm worried that we're missing out on years of potential experience, that these people are just idly dripping through like naughty mangos fleeing the watery plight of a really cheap colander. Is there any way of enticing/threatening them to join up and share the SuperFunHappyForum that is: Bass Chat? paul.
  21. I wish the 210 combo was £700 cheaper. Maybe I could haggle them down.
  22. I'm quite sure there a few Bristolians on here. There was once to be a Brisol bb as arranged on BT.
