1. I've heard many basslines that have single-handedly attenuated the integrity of a track, but I tend to repress them immediately.
 2. This guy's acting uncharacteristically and distance should be well kept from him.
terser
Had to look that up.
 3.
I missed it too. It's repeated on Wednesday 18th July, 10:30 on E4. You could come round and watch it over a beer but Dorset isn't that close to Yorkshire...
Funny you should say that, I nearly went up to Halifax today for my Aunt's 60th. Would've been back b4 the 18th though. Thanks for letting me know, chin chin.
 4. The link isn't working for me: "A system connection error has occured. Please try again in a few moments."
 5. Was this last night? I missed it - Any repeats? E4?
 6. I'm sure I've seen Julian Barratt playing bass. Anyway, these are worth the watch. (Animals don't like Funk-Jazz) (Funky Beginnings)
 7.
this is bloody incredible http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=D7oKT6xz-k8&...ted&search= mmm think i'll go home & burn my basses
Face up to it, you'll never burn an instrument like Hendrix.
 8. This gives me hope!
Have Fender Japan ever done a RI Jazz (Bootsy Style) - with three-tone sunburst, tort pg, block inlays and binding? Do they sell them with ashtrays...case? Akin to: Cheers, paul.
9.
Sent the seller an e-mail asking for serial number and model and this was the reply: As the listing ends in 3 days, any buyer won't see the goods for 2 weeks or so.
I think the word (potential possibly before it) 'scam' or something similar should be edited into the title of this thread and all others on ebay items with questionable feedback and dubious listings.

I adore the soft, warm tone.
Paul, I've not been charged yet for strings. Normally buy 2 or threes sets at at time and they are sent in an envelope. Try to keep the value under abut $50 and they dont normally bother.... IME.
Thanks Bob, I keep forgetting that upper limit.
 13. Do you have a second instrument? If you do, try focusing on that for a bit. - Writing chord sequences on guitar or whatever. The bass will be extra extra special that way as well.
 14.
Looks and sounds like a Precision to me!
+1 Shows pickup and pg tail. It's a P without question.
 15. I just remember this review: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...XL+Cabinet/10/1 I know it's only one...yadda yadda yadda. The Transporter does okay.
 16.
Hi Guys What are the chances that this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330142554239) actually had that jazz bridge pup fitted at the factory? I think it's prettly unlikely, myself, which may make that price-tag a little rich. Howerver, I own both a JV squier J and P and can vouch for their value for money. Having said that; really hankering for a P with a maple fretboard and the J pup is always good to have, so I'm a bit tempted. Thoughts?
That looks pretty nuts to me. I've seen American hot-rodded Precisions go for that price. A little rare, but well received.
 17. Those machine heads don't look 30+ years old. Why would they be replaced?
 18.
I think I'm in love (only the third time this week). No cash though. I love the neck Japanese Jazz
That's very pretty, I'd prefer sunburst though. Get it, you know you want to I would inquire into whether he's sending it insured and who he's using. paul.
 19. I came across this site when stumbling, lots of different colours, mods and things.
 20. Necks are the biggest problem as I have small hands. I'm happy with a jazz neck, but would prefer something a little chunkier whilst still being rounded at the back.

 22.
Hi, I have aquired real bad GAS for a violin bass. Girlfriend is less than pleased , specially since i recently had my squier fitted with seymour duncans, however nothing quite sounds like a hollow body bass with flats on , so I am on the hunt for a low cost (my finances are pathetic) hollow body violin bass but dont know where to aquire one. Any suggestions , links etc appreciated
My friend had a Shine, it sounded huge and very professional. Different, but up to par with Herbie Flowers' Jazz. The rumors always say that they all come out of the same factory, they slap different names on them and then distribute them all over the world. I've seen them go for as cheap as £80 s/h in the UK. --- Some interesting GAS inducing oddities: The link with interesting violin bass info: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/hillmans3/hillgt11.html Woof.
