  9. Well i've done it after much pondering i've decided that the BA5110c was the one for me small enough for the hoose and I will pick up a decent cab sometime should i feel i need it. 30 day money back did help me decide So text just told me amp is on its way. thanks for the replies

  17. YUp i reckond this would be the case and the talkbass post just confirmed this, its only a hairs breadth that needs to come off so could do that with a dremel. The other alterative may be getting wizard to custom wound a bridge PuP in a neck size?
  18. Thanks ikay its a '93 from the serial no. and has "two pick ups of the same size with flat poles," so no noise cancelling then, it would appear that anything would be an improvement LOL
  19. The reason for the two necks was that some MIM jazz basses mine included the pick ups are the same size this was changed on the later ones i believe. My preferred option is to fit proper different sized ones. I found this out from the forum when I started thinking about upgrading the PuPs measured them and found out. What I don't know is whether the pickups in my bass are wound as they should be or not.
  20. Hi there thinking about replacing the pups on my MIM jazz. Both the pic ups are the same size what are the thoughts on replacing them with two neck PuPs, I look forward to the combined wisdom of the forum. If this has been discussed elswhere my apologies Thanks

  22. yup eyesight is that bad and the best thing about having a jag apart from saying "I think we'll take the Jaaaaaaaaag darling" is any bass(electric) you want fits in the boot ha!!
  23. Hi like a few before me been following this forum for some time and have made a few purchases from some spot on sound dudes. So I thought it was only manners to introduce myself. Recently started playing again after being side tracked by other stuff. Musical influences include,James Taylor, Garth Brooks, Jackson Browne, Carole King, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Martin Taylor, Pink Floyd Maria McKee, Rich Mullins, Richard Carpenter, Van Morrison and animal from the Muppets. Bass influences (in no particular order) Lee Sklar, Guy Pratt, Stanley Clarke, Carol Kaye, Sting, Kevin Lindsay Musical pinnacle, about 20 years ago a band I played in "december" won the North Lanarkshire battle of the bands and we got to support the Mcluskey brothers (formerly the Bluebells). and its been all downhill since then Ha! no links to me playing or anything like that. Now I play mostly in the worship band in the local church and its great getting back into it. Toys; Fender Jazz Bass MIM Yamaha BB424 (bought from here) Simon & Patrick SP6 Trace Elliot 715 Ashdown Perfect ten mini rig (bought from here and ideal for boys toys room) Fortunate enough to be married to a really understanding wife for the past 26 years. Other interests Golf, Motorcycles, and Curry accompanied by beer. anyway hi guys and Gals
