Purchased my very 1st Barefaced cab at the weekend from a nice gentlemen on basschat. A Super 12T (to replace my Schroeder 1212L) only a year old and hardly used. I am currently using a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and it took me some time to get used to the sound. It seemed easier to get the sound I wanted from the Barefaced amazingly powerful, great sounding and lightweight perfect. Just want to find the perfect amp to compliment it now.

Hello fellow BC'ers, It is with great reluctance that I decide to offer my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 for Sale/Trade I have been using a Markbass LMIII of late and I've fallen in love with the sound and simplicity of the amp. I can't quite put my finger exactly what it is about the sound, it's just warmer and more rounded sounding. I need an LMIII The GB Shuttle 6.0 was purchased on here just over 2 years ago for around £450 along with Carry Case and Foot Switch (the case is no longer I'm afraid). It has served me extremely well with my old Hartke 410 (300W at 8ohms) and more recently with my Schroeder 1212L (600W at 4ohms). It packs a massive punch whilst being small enough to fit in my back pack and weighing only a mere 3.8lbs. It's been well used over the last couple of years, so shows signs of wear i.e. scratches etc. but, I've not had one problem with it at all. I'll put some pictures up later tonight. I'm looking to trade for a Markbass LMIII or something similar. I will sell for a mere £300 + postage (which will include foot switch and power cable). Thanks for reading

I had the good fortune to play this bass today. At first, when I saw it being handed to me, I was very sceptical ... however after only a few seconds of playing it my initial reaction was no justified, by a long way! This bass sounds and plays amazingly! the big singles add some real balls to the sound although heavier than I'm used to, this would make one cracking bass for recording ... very tempted myself, however due to losing my cab recently, I can only afford to replace this! Cracking chap as well!

good day, I've seen a cab on BC that I want ... rather badly so, in order to achieve this, I need to let one of my Hartke 410 TP cabs go ... yes, you heard me right, I have more than one of them! these cabs have served me extremely well over the last few years, however I have decided to venture into the world of lightweight neo cabs, simply because I'm going to be gigging twice a week with the new covers band (www.facebook.com/quadraphonicmusic if you want to take a peak). so, the Hartke 410 TP cab; 300W @ 8ohms 96bd sensitivity 61cm x 61cm x 38cm 64lbs there's never many for sale on here, but the two I've purchased over the last few years have cost me £100, so I'm looking to move them on for the same price. I'm not even tempted to try and post this thing, so I'd welcome people to come and visit me either in Bradford (BD15) or in Leeds (LS11). I have one at each location. both are in good condition and have a nice used look the only difference between them is that one has an output jack for linking another speaker .. but you'll have no need to use it! pictures added

Whats the best Jazz Bass I can buy for under £300
funkyspuke replied to matybigfro's topic in Bass Guitars
I recently purchased a Squire 60's CV from a fellow BC'er for under £300 and I fell in love with it the second I played it (well, after it had a good set up). the neck is amazing and for a passive bass (I'm used to a good active sound) it was cracking .. no complaints at all! looks mint in olympic white as well -
I've played this bass at my last band rehearsal (usually use my Valenti Jazz) and I have to say I was mega impressed! it felt, played and sounded amazing. to give it a brief review; build & design - the workmanship that has gone into this 'prototype' is just top class, I was really impressed! the body shape & design is very unique and I think it really works. the headstock, which I've been informed is smaller than planned (accidentally) also adds to a unique and modern feel. the wood is just gorgeous and has a lot to do with the way this bass sounds! it's also a very light bass .. or so it seemed. sound & playability - you can't go wrong (IMO) with Sadowsky electronics, however this Alpher bass does something to add to that sound (the wood used and way it's built). it has an aggressive and slightly modern jazz sound, with great balance between the bottom and top end (even more so than my Valenti) but at no point does the sound become too much or over bearing! there were no dead points on the fret board, the action was low and fast, the neck was smooth and the fretboard just looks amazing and sounds awesome! all in all, I was taken back by how good this was .. especially considering it's a prototype! I'm certainly looking forward to putting in an order
