[/quote] Not at all, I'm not expert but from what I can tell they are very much the same. The JJ500 was more of a budget model designed to keep costs down, so think there may be some slightly cheaper components variations (probably hardly much different!). Possible a slightly different voicing compared to the MK500. Otherwise just colour, I believe. Hope that helps, cracking heads for the money in my opinion.
