Picked up a Squier vm jazz a few weeks ago, fitted a Gotoh 201 but undecided as yet as to fitting a set of Wizard Hammers which i have in my Tokai.

If it's any reassurance mine is the same too Dave, it does run warm & I thought about a fan, but it has fans built in anyway I think, and it's under warranty so I'm not going to worry about it, just crank it up, that's what it's there for ;-).

My new Kilo sat on it's perch,

I took delivery of my Kilo yesterday & tried it at practice last night through my Matamp 6x10, I bought it to give me more options than my OTB 500 which I found a little too dirty at the volume we play at (I.e "LOUD!) happy to say it delivers in spades.

I couldn't resist any longer, i've just ordered one, it'll be running through my Matamp 6x10 at 8ohm's i mailed Hartke & they say they it'll give me 750w through that cab, so i hope it'll be enough to compete with our very enthusiastic guitarist....

Can anyone tell me what the Kilo will put into a single 8ohm cab in bridge mode? I believe the LH1000 will give 750w bridged into 8ohms so is the Kilo the same or will it put the full whack into 8?

Just out of curiosity, how does the LH1000 compare on volume to the Terror bass 500? (assuming someone has owned both or compared them) I like my otb but at the volume we play at it's a little too dirty to my ear, so i've been toying with the idea of the Hartke as i've read that the 1000 can be run bridged into an 8ohm cab & gives the better part of 800w at that setting?

Another happy customer here, i have one for my SP212 & one for my Matamp 6x10, both fit perfectly & service was about 48hrs on both.

Means nothing to me lol :-), it says 8 on the jack plate so that's what i've been running the OBT at with it nothings gone bang yet so i'm assuming it must be 8, i may be wrong about the 12 individual rating though, Tayste had a thread somewhere about the cabs, they were available in either 8 or 2 ohm rating, i'll see if i can find it & check the ratings. 12 as far as i know, at least thats what was quoted in the thread about them on here, 8ohm and 2400w handling.

Matamp have a couple of 8ohm 6x10's, they are on the Bay at the moment, I bought one about 2 months ago from them, well pleased with it.

StringsDirect will make up a set of whatever you need, fast service too.

I bought one a couple of months ago because my cheapo tuner wouldn't read a B reliably & i think it's a great bit of kit. I haven't bothered myself, but i believe it is adjustable for alternate tunings.

Not all at the same time....

Thought i'd join up as i've come through enough times browsing info, i play (if thats the word) in a 5 piece band that we got together around 18 months ago to play, initially for no other reason than our own enjoyment, a bit of Doom. What we do is not technical, but it seems to be making a positive impact on our target audience & we're happy with that. Gear wise i had a 1984 Tokai Jazz in the attic, & old Marshall lead/bass head & a Carlsbro 1x15. As we've progressed the Tokai has had a set of Wizard 'Hammers' fitted & a complete rewire inc new pots & socket & it's been joined by a new Tokai Thunderbird & a G&L Tribute L2000. Amp wise the Marshall is retired, i got a Laney RB7 + RB115, it served ok for a while but didn't quite have the grunt so it's there as back up now as i got a Terror Bass 500 + SP212 & got the old Carlsbro fitted with a 15" Fane Colossus 400w. I didn't intend spending on anything much after that but a few weeks ago i gave in to temptation & got a Matamp 6x10 cab, which suits what we do even better than the old set up.
