I dunno - something wasn't clicking last night. Good show but lacking something

Bit of a disappointment if truth be told. Not the performance by any means, more the set list - I know they have the album to plug but i felt (and a lot of people were agreeing) that there was not enough of the older material. Peart's solo made up for a lot though. Edit: rubbish spelling due to 3 hours sleep

As it Tori Amos's
+1 for smells like teen spirit, unless you have an excellent singer who can sing it well. i've heard a few bands play it, including my own, and none of the singers can reach some of the higher notes. the only band ive ever heard do it successfully (except nirvana) are my dad's band before their origional singer left.
I dunno, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain's version is pretty darn good!!!!

Here was me thinking this was a thread about needing to pee in the middle of a gig

Just a mad idea but why not try an equine polo bandage http://www.hnc.uk.com/proddetail.php?prod=band004 A glove looks to emo, a sweatband slips. Anchor round the thumb and this won't slip. -
why are they using a singular to talk about bands? Slater Kinnie is..... is that a quirk of american grammar? we would use the they, are.
It's not a quirk, it's actually correct english as the band name is a collective. (The Government is, not the government are) Anyway, on the subject of a lack of bass - it's won't last. Song's don't sound quite "right" without one but music goes in phases so it won't be long before this one passes

I'm confoosed now - the thing is working again. Tried new lead, thought brilliant, it works! But put the old lead back on just to check it truly was "dead" and it's fine - like nothing ever happened. This has been happening to me a lot - things pretending to be broken - my car indicators were the last victims
yup, if its reading between G and G# then there is most likely a loose connection somewhere causing hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Its probably fixable, but just buy a better tuner
If i was gigging i would but to be frank as i only play for myself, it's not worth it. The sooner i get paid and get a new one the better - at the moment i have to get dad to tune it as his ear is far better than mine and it means he hogs it for a couple of hours
Try a new battery first - that's cheaper
Have tried three already
-
Thank god you didn't say it was my bass - i can be so thick at times but was panicing for a minute. Annoying as it is only a few months old, may have to change brands in that case
-
I use a qwiktune tuner cos quite frankly i'm lazy. However it's gone haywire - it's telling me all my strings are G and even when i'm hot hitting a string, the damn thing is telling me thati've just played a G note.
Skinny bop was it poison or skid row I don't care but it was cack
If you mean Unskinny Bop, then it was by Poison. And i agree, it's boring, unimaginative and thoroughly carp

I'm always going to be biased towards the first three i ever learned to play Black Night Jailbreak Message in a bottle

Sorry to be a killjoy but i'm just wondering if it is legal for a 16 year old to work 9 hrs a day 6 days a week? If it isn't then go for it!
Which smokers seem to be ignoring this fact? I've not heard any. The libertarian argument (with which I strongly disagree) comes from smokers and non smokers alike. Anyway we can all debate it until the cows come home - the fact is it's here and no government will ever reverse it so we'd better get used to it.
It was one of the arguements forwarded up here and i also had the same argument with a bloke in the pub across the road from me mam's in Cullercoats
-
The small fact that smokers seem to ignore is that they are not being banned from smoking, they are only being asked to go outside to do it - real hardship and erosion of civil liberties there.
-
Personally - I am against the smoking ban....i feel there should be choice...a smoking area and a non smoking area rather than a compusory law from a nanny state. and......(opening a large can of nicotine flavoured worms)... alot of the 'facts' about smoking are unproven and based on either very old research of statistics that the government wants you to hear. yes, i'm a conspiracy theorist but check this link: Interesting reading about smoking 'facts' and whether you agree or disagree there are some interesting points made..for instance... 'Native Americans have half the rate of lung cancer of white Americans even though they smoke much more. Very few Chinese women smoke and yet they have one of the highest lung cancer rates in the world. Lung cancer rates practically everywhere have been rising since about 1930 and in some cases (e.g. American women) have not peaked yet, despite the fact that smoking rates have gone steadily down.' peace c
It is also thought that there may be a genetic aspect to cancer. I know of an old bloke who should have asbestos related cancer as he worked in ships' engine rooms years ago, coming out looking like the abominable snowman. He also smoked from the age of 7 till his 30's. He's currently in his 80's. Technically, he should be dead and buried by now
