1. I've had 70's Fenders with part of the logo under a tuner bushing.
2. The link doesn't help me Alex. Check that you have entered the price correctly in the trade value box. Don't use any commas, full points etc. just the figure.
3. That's the second very lovely Ibanez to appear today.
4. That is a good looking instrument.
5. The Stratosphere have a few. I've bought quite a few items from them, all good but you may well get hit with duty charges etc. http://www.stratosphereparts.com/search.php?search_query=Fretless+neck
6. I looked at this bass at the Herts bash a few weeks back and very much liked what I saw.
7. Just keep an eye on Ebay, that's what I've been doing for the last few weeks. Last week a Manson Custom fretless neck appeared, with a not too bad BIN price, so I snapped it up. The Ebayer you mention did have a fretless on a couple of weeks back.
8. Hello, good to meet you Welcome back to the world of bass.
9. For sale, my lovely, 1966 Sunburst Fender Jazz. With original Hardcase. Not really sure I want to sell this as I am starting to enjoy Jazzes, but I do like chopping and changing and I’ve got my eye on another sixties one. This may get withdrawn if I miss out on the other one, or if I just change my mind. This is a very good example of these increasingly rare dot and bound Jazz basses, only produced for a few months in 1966. It is a pleasure to play and the neck feels great and there are no dead spots. Lollypop tuners. Very clean neck, dated 7[sup]th[/sup] Jan 66. Frets and board are in excellent condition. Neck Binding is perfect. Headstock in very good condition. Width at nut is approx. 38mm. Fretboard radius is 7.25 Weight is just 8lbs 12oz. The lovely tort guard has not cracked or suffered any breaks and is only showing very minimal shrinkage. Neck pocket is a nice tight fit. Hardware is all original. The pots are original and function perfectly. The pickups have been rewound by Voodoo in the U.S. using period correct wire and winding. The voicing is great and they sound so good, either blended or used separately. The paintwork has been refinished in period correct target sunburst nitro finish, to an extremely high standard. The finish has now aged again in a pleasing fashion and it’s hard to believe it’s not original. The case is scruffy but functional, the catches and hinges are intact and function as they should. Although not shown in the photos, the original chrome covers and screws are included, I just hadn't re fitted them for the photo shoot. Selling at £3,250 I’m not in a rush, so at the moment the price is firm. I’m not really looking for trades other than for a good sixties P bass and ideally not a sunburst, as I already have one. The above price does not include postage costs, as I much prefer collection with instruments of this vintage and value, we can however, discuss postage and insurance options if necessary. Cash on collection or bank transfer. I can accept Pay Pal but wouldn’t want to be hit with the fees. I’m in Hertfordshire and happy for BC’ers to arrange a visit to try it out. Any questions let me know. 10. A good basic talk on understanding Ohms and wattage would be a good thing I would have thought. Also the basics of Eq'ing and how to cope with different stages and venues.
11.
I use 2 markbass 210s at 8ohms each , much more versatile than a 4ohm 410, for me at least I can take just 1 x 210 to rehearsals etc and it's easier to carry
Exactly the same for me
12. Nice one. I almost treated myself to one of his fretless P's, would have liked that in white.
13.
In what way? J.
I've just generally found it much more effective than T cut, when used on instruments. I've used it on a couple of pick guards for example, brought them up like new. Completely polished out some buckle rash on one of my P basses. I've used both and actually still have T Cut in my cleaning kit box but now days I always go for this product. The first batch was given to me, once I had used that up I immediately replaced it. Even though it is not cheap, I just felt it was money well spent.
14. Standby, this thread will run to three pages by lunchtime What's best for me might not by for the next chap/chapess. For the last few years I've been using a pair of lightweight 2 x 10" cabs. To date, I've not regretted the choice. I use one for rehearsals, both when gigging. Plenty of bass response, great mids and they do the job with ease. Easy to get in and out of the car. Suits me just fine.
15. Yes I was watching that one. Didn't bid in the end as I wasn't keen on the look of the body but for that price, probably shouldn't be so fussy.
16.
Like T-Cut, only £24.
It's not though but yes it is costly.
17. I've been using this product after having it recommended to me by Grand wazoo . It really is very good.
18. Steve is a fine chap to deal with. Friendly, good communication and fast payer. Happy to recommend to the BC community.
19. I put a set on my 66 Jazz at the Herts bash a few weeks back. So far I'm very impressed and much prefer them to Roto Nickels.
