    Have you checked the slot in the nut? Intonation can be affected. A little graphite (pencil lead) rubbed in the groove can help.

    I get the same problem when I play thin necked basses. It's one of the things that put me off J's for a while. I found it went away when I got older 60's and 70's models Need to buy yourself a decent oldie mate

    Hi Alex. I have a couple of mates who are very good. They came along and set up, did FOH and recorded us at a recent gig. We are still in the process of mixing the tracks but so far we are happy with the results, certainly not bad for a live recording.     I've had 70's Fenders with part of the logo under a tuner bushing.

    I looked at this bass at the Herts bash a few weeks back and very much liked what I saw.

    Just keep an eye on Ebay, that's what I've been doing for the last few weeks. Last week a Manson Custom fretless neck appeared, with a not too bad BIN price, so I snapped it up. The Ebayer you mention did have a fretless on a couple of weeks back.
