1. Now you've gone and done it, cue three pages by this evening It really depends on what you are trying to achieve but on one of my builds I decided that I wanted punchy and went for Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounds. Result = very punchy but not a traditional P sound. It was what I wanted though, so I was happy.
2.
Great 75 there Gary.
Cheers Lozz. I did say I wouldn't be buying anymore 70's P basses but this is a very lovely one and very light.
3. Just got this, it is rather lovely and not unlike my last 75
4. Same as my last one TSB, black p/g, maple. Will stick a pic up on the Precision thread over in the porn section.
5. Sounds like you have a good one there Lozz. I guess this is a stoopid question, but will this see an end to the buying? I didn't mean to but I just went and bought another 75P
6.
Please hurry up and sell this G.....I'm considering selling everything in my Sig below and a kidney to get this!!! The wife would not be happy.....
a man up, type bump
7. Hats off to your thoroughness and willingness to share but it has made my head hurt A revisit will be required.
8. I don't enjoy playing it, just sick and tired of it I guess but have to admit, that it is always well received in the pubs around these parts.
9. It's a still here bump
10. I've had a listen to them all. Really enjoyed some of them and appreciated the work in all of them. Have cast my votes. Get on over there Bass Chatters, enjoy the tunes and cast your vote.
11. A weekend bump.
12.
Such a shame that the discussion started a few days ago has ended like this..... I started this thread in good faith, believing it would be of interest to all on this forum, and it rapidly took off, and if nothing else certainly split opinion over how we all view what we do, and how others do it. Might be just as well to pull the plug on it now, as we can all see how it has ended..... Put a lock on it....
No need at the moment Jonny. Peace has broken out and it is a subject worth exploring and discussing.
13. Great to see them all in close up Nick. A really interesting and impressive collection.
14. He is indeed one of us and a very fine fellow
15.
Right it has been a while but I am making some progress. I have the body stripped of its damaged poly(I don't want to be doing that again anytime soon.... Talk about effort!) and I have ordered a nice bit of wood to add to the top. So hopefully I will have some exciting pictures to put up
Yes that is a miserable job isn't it?
16. Like it Familiar but different.
17. That is a pleasing looking instrument, nice one
18. Bumping again
19.
I hated them both but they did make the tourists happy!
For the record Ray, they didn't make this tourist happy But quite a few of the other numbers did.
20. That would be enough to have me fuming. We when we have a break to chat about arrangements or just for a coffee, we all put our instruments down for the duration.
21. Good man Hope it turns out to be a good one for you.
22. Sunburst That's a surprise. Will look handsome though Fran. Get one of those count down apps on your phone. 240 sleeps until Dingwall Day
23.
Well... you know what they say... 'no frets - no pants'. OK, it's not a known saying - I've just made it up in the hope it'll become popular.
I will be looking eagerly awaiting an opportunity to use this phrase.
24. I was looking at that one and thinking it was a good looker. Don't know whether you will like it though Hope so after spending all that dosh.
25. Thanks Gents
