Actually NBD was last week but I've been away for the weekend, so it's a bit late. I wasn't planning to post this up but have been encouraged to do so by Discreet. So for the Fender fans, check out the pics down below. Although P basses are really my thing, I periodically find myself hankering after a Jazz bass. Every couple of years or so I've tended to cave in, buy one, play it for a few months and then move it on and return to my P basses. My past J bass purchases have mostly been Squiers, so I thought it was time to try a Fender. My preference is for old Fenders, so I started looking out for a 60's one. Anyway I spotted this one from 1973 and decided to go for it. It's all original (other than the pup cover) including the case. So far I'm very happy with it. I've set it up to my liking and it plays very well. The neck is lovely, with the added bonus of being block and bound, which I've always liked the look of. Fret work is great and no dead spots. I've only played it amplified at lounge volume, so I'm really looking forward to trying it through my rig in the not too distant. Great job, looks to be a worthwhile bit of modding.

A fine Bass Chatter to deal with. No messing about, good communications and paid very rapidly. Highly recommended.

This is why it is a good idea to regularly practice amped up, rather than just acoustically. Any sloppiness can be a scarey thing when plugged in and playing at gig volume

I've bought a couple of p/gs over the years from that seller. All good and when I did have a problem with one, they changed it with no fuss. Agree with Mr. Discreet about avoiding the cheaper tort guards.

Nice one Rich. Good price too, especially given that you got a case and lead with it. Seeing that the p/g is damaged, you can take the opportunity to fit a 3 ply black one

Only ever use Duracells for all my devices.

Hard work for us in a social club, even though we played very well.

If you are definitely happy with this gauge of string, then it would be worth doing some filing to get them sitting correctly. I have used needle/jewellers files and with a cautious approach it worked fine. I do plan to treat myself to a proper set at some point but decent ones are a quite an investment.

Not sure whether the foam would affect the cellulose finish. Almost certainly not for the short duration that it is in use at a gig but might be worth checking with the manufacturer if you are looking at long term use.
