1. I love the feel of flats. I love the sound of flats at home, playing along to Northern Soul and Motown. But for gigging, certainly with the current band, it has to be rounds.
 2.
Is this anywhere near Oxfordshire?
Nearish, I'm in Hertfordshire.
 3.
This sounds about an email away from asking for your passport number and bank details.
Beat me to it. I wouldn't be travelling to the next town to audition for this one.
 4. Glad to hear you are back, good man.
 5. What Discreet said
 6.
I'd like it, I just need one that's so big
It is a bargain price Geek, so go on and treat yourself
 7.
This really is a lovely bass. Gary let me have a play of it last night. Really smooth and easy to play.
It was good to see you again Tim.
 8. Sorry Jim I'm not sure, I never actually drove the desk, so not sure. We had all sorts of midi kit playing through it, keyboards, samplers etc.
 9. Yes that will go all the way, Wals always do Lovely bass that, sure I've seen it before.
 10. If I haven't sold my one by then, would be happy to bring it along. Obviously I can't confirm at the moment though
 11. For me that's one of the most pleasing Overwaters that I've seen
 12.
Up for trades, Gary?
You thinking of swapping that old P of yours? Thought you were keeping it this time.
Interested to trade with Fodera monarch standard 4 serial number one?
I'm only selling this to fund another bass purchase, so definitely not interested in trades at this stage thanks.
 13. That looks a beaut Rob.

 16. Fender 1973 Jazz. Sunburst and Rosewood. A lovely vintage sunburst, U.S. Jazz bass, including original hardcase. It’s getting harder to find decent, playable, unbutchered examples of this vintage. I am reluctant to sell but a 60’s Jazz has caught my eye and so, to fund the purchase I need to move this on first. It will get withdrawn if I miss the opportunity to get the other one. If you are looking for a good 70's Jazz, this is a lovely one. The paintwork has a pleasing level of ageing, patina and wear from over forty years of use but more importantly it just plays so well. Pickups, pots and hardware are all original with the exception of the chrome neck pup cover. The block and bound neck looks great and the fretwork is superb. There are no dead spots and the frets are still in exceptional condition. The fretboard radius is 7.25 Width at nut is approx 38 mm. I haven’t gigged it yet but would happily do so as at just 9lb 6oz it is a comfortable weight and it balances well on the strap. Through my little practice combo it sounds like a 70’s jazz should sound. The controls work smoothly and the pots are quiet and crackle free. Currently it is strung with flats and judging by the condition of the frets, I would guess that it always has been. For sale at £ 2,600 Collection preferred from my place in Herts. We can discuss courier options if necessary but please bear in mind that it will be at the buyers risk, if posting without proper insurance. 18.
Third gig of our three gig bank holiday weekend, this time at my local pub, so I was able to walk there and back (200 yards each way) with my rucksack and a couple of Jazz basses. No amp as I DI through the PA these days. Each of the three gigs has been better than the last, this one certainly topped them all. We played for a total of three hours, including several encores and 2 or 3 songs we had never played before. Finally, they organised a collection for the charity of my choice in celebration of my recent triumph over prostate cancer, £130 raised. I did have to play an impromptu bass solo as a condition of the pub adding £50 to the collection, but seemed to get away with it.
Sounds like a good weekend of gigs. Well done on raising the £130 and congrats on triumphing over the Prostate Cancer, there are a few of us veteran prostate problem fighters on here
 19. Looking good, how was its first outing?
