1.
Taking it to the Streets Living for the City Proud Mary She's too good for me I wish None of these are difficult and are well know,...and well done, but I want to hear how the band can treat them so I'm looking for different spins or grooves... This rehearsal is all about what people can bring to the party apart from a standard take..
What you got planned for the Doobies tune then JTUK?
2. That does sound lovely and very nicely played Mark.
3.
I thank you... Here's an *AUDIO FILE* of me playing it... I'm no Bob Babbit for sure, but hopefully you'll get an idea of the natural warmth and depth of this bass and see (or hear) exactly why I missed it! Recorded direct into an Edirol UA5 into FL Studio 11, no FX or processing. I'll put the link into the OP, as well.
I'm going to have a proper listen, once I've got the energy to go upstairs and get my new headphones. Will report back later
4. and this but I'm not keen
5. Having fun with this one today
6. Amazon delivered my August EP650's today. Got to say they are very, very good and easily comparable to ones that would have cost me more than three times the cost. At comfortable/sensible listening volume, no noise leaks out. Turn them up loud then there is leakage. So far I'm very pleased with the purchase and at just over £30, I'm seriously impressed.
7. Gives you the choice of standard jack plug or the more modern Neutrik speakon type. Think that's all it is.
8. Evening Rich. Isn't it more of a Jazz body on the Hoppus? If so, not necessarily heavier but the weight is distributed differently, well that's been my experience with some Jazz bodies. Good instruments though and certainly pack a punch. I would be tempted by Walbassists P bass as well. I guess that would be the one for me, if I were looking for a keeper. Also I think it will age in a pleasing fashion with that finish.
9. I've just ordered a set of these; http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F54Y6GU/ref=s9_hps_bw_g23_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_r=15QRB98HRCSY3ETWSBGK&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=449059267&pf_rd_i=4085751
10. So glad to see it back home. Good on Dave for being such a fine custodian.
11.
Hi Gary, Can this Spector be strung as a five-string? I mean starting with B, skipping the high string. Is the spacing in the nut sufficient, or would it be necessary to file it?
Hi Lou. If you want to do that, then yes the nut would, I'm sure, need some adjustment.
12. Pick not included would be a deal breaker for me Just joking, that is a looker, love the grain. I'm tempted.
13. Don't do it, just buy a headless. I suspect otherwise you will just end up with a broken bass Welcome to the site.
14. Much to my disappointment, "So Lonely" has recently been dropped from our set. A damned weird decision given that it always seemed to be well received
15. If you were accompanying a whole lot of youngsters playing guitars, it could just have been that they were taking up a lot of your sonic space. A few years back I was in a band that had a very open door policy with guitarists (it was HELL), they came and went, sometimes not enough went and we would be gigging with five of the buggers, all strumming away and trying to out do each other. It gave me some eq'ing challenges.
