1. What's in the 78 Lozz? I get a bit mixed up with P bass pups.
2. A price dropping bump. Now a very low £20. It will go up the loft for storage if it doesn't sell at this price
3. That is a good looker for a rock setting and properly lightweight.
4.
Wasn't that knocked out by the rehearsal/audition last night but since everything was from scratch, the basic quality was there and playback today put it in another light. Parts and generally band jizz will come, evolve and work itself out but the project will have legs, I think ....
Good news then
5. Discreet is very obviously not awake yet. He would find this thread title totally irresistible.

7. You will be lucky to sell it without pics.☺️
8. I'd be happy enough building it up with a mixture of super glue and filings of whatever the nut is made from. Not if it was brass of course
9. CV's are so good and that one is a looker.
10.
Yesterday I just started learning Havona by Weather Report. Tough song, but I've found that I only progress if I pick things to learn that I find really challenging. I only made it a few measures in. It's going to take a long time to nail that fast arpeggio lick up to speed.
Worth the effort
11.
Well... good question... I want the keys to get the gospel piano, and the vox to do Michael MacD... I think I'd go for MMd solo versions like his soundstage 2003 take, or his xmas party gig..where the vox were shared between him and the girl. Obviously wont be able to do the choir parts, and it is quite a simple song so I'll want a spikey non polite version... Might have to make room for a guest sax blower as well... So, altho I mentioned the Doobies... I'll want more Michael MacD on it .. Was thinking of bringing in 'Take me in your arms' as per Tom Johnston as well, and as long as the band can deliver it powerfully and live, I'll settle for that. Basically, that will be the brief... attack the songs, give it some beans and get the dynamics and sound/production right and let the players do what they can do... I'll let you know if I'm pleased with the way it went... I'll probably record it as I'm late getting this thing out there for the summer... and I need stuff to give to bookers..
Will look forward to hearing some of that
12.
Taking it to the Streets Living for the City Proud Mary She's too good for me I wish None of these are difficult and are well know,...and well done, but I want to hear how the band can treat them so I'm looking for different spins or grooves... This rehearsal is all about what people can bring to the party apart from a standard take..
What you got planned for the Doobies tune then JTUK?
13. That does sound lovely and very nicely played Mark.
14.
I thank you... Here's an *AUDIO FILE* of me playing it... I'm no Bob Babbit for sure, but hopefully you'll get an idea of the natural warmth and depth of this bass and see (or hear) exactly why I missed it! Recorded direct into an Edirol UA5 into FL Studio 11, no FX or processing. I'll put the link into the OP, as well.
I'm going to have a proper listen, once I've got the energy to go upstairs and get my new headphones. Will report back later
15. and this but I'm not keen
16. Having fun with this one today
17. Amazon delivered my August EP650's today. Got to say they are very, very good and easily comparable to ones that would have cost me more than three times the cost. At comfortable/sensible listening volume, no noise leaks out. Turn them up loud then there is leakage. So far I'm very pleased with the purchase and at just over £30, I'm seriously impressed.
