1. Hi Barnsie. Enjoy your time here. Get some ads up in the relevant for sale sections and you will get your stuff shifted
2. Welcome Catalin. The cab project is looking good. What finish are you planning for it?
3. If you are thinking of going for a G&L WOT, this is a useful link: http://www.americang...sGuitarGen.html I've had two USA G&L's, an SB1 which is my main gigging bass and an SB2, which I recently sold on here. Both excellent but 1980's vintage instruments with different controls to the current models, so maybe not relevant to your question. My SB1, although passive, is certainly a turbo charged Precision. The MFD pups in the USA models are very, very hot. The SB1 weighs 9lb 4oz and the SB2 9lb. The bridges are very substantial and a breeze to adjust and lock. The neck plate, although only the three screw variety is perfectly stable and also has the neck tilt adjustment, to save on faffing with shims. A couple of pics down below. The SB1 is the white one. 4.
Very nice Gary. the fingerboard is especially nice
Thanks Cameron, it is a very pleasing looking piece of wood.
Nice upgrade, that is wonderful Glad you approve Kev, I am extremely chuffed with it. I am tempted to gig it tonight but the venue is quite cramped and generally busy, so not sure. All these things to worry about
5.
Well it went great, will do a post later but am still buzzing having just got home.
That's good to hear. Enjoy a post gig cuppa and savour that buzz

7. There is one for sale on here at the moment
8.
Maybe you are an insufferable ballache ;-)
Have you considered a career as a Counsellor?
9. I noticed this a while back when I just grabbed an old pic out of the gig bag. After the first number I had to swap back to my usual Jim Dunlop Stubby 2 mm and there was my sound again.
10. I've had them on a couple of basses, I have found them useful but not essential. I did find I was getting an intonation problem on one of my Dingwalls. Easily sorted though, it just needs setting up correctly, which when you know how, is very easy. Take a look at this vid for step to step instructions: http://store.hipshot...uct_detail&p=84
11. A pleasure to meet Brian today, when he came to collect my 75 P bass that he had paid for a couple of weeks back. I'm very happy to recommend him as another of the BC good guys Glad my bass has gone to such an enthusiastic new owner.
12. Nothing to do with your question but have you tried Sansone strings? They are truly excellent and hand wound/made in Italy.
13.
"Cool, I think your cool too, however understand that music and gigging will always be number 1 and you will always be number 2." Blue
If I were a single chap and in need of some good chat up lines, this would definitely not be one of them You American chaps are smooth tongued blighters.
14. I have heard of this very rare condition but a little further research reveals that it is easily rectified. For Gods sake man, pull yourself together and don't let any of our wives/girlfriends/partners know that this condition exists.
15. Totally excellent name for a band Have a good one, or I should say two. I'll see you next week and look forward to hearing all about it.
16. Bit of a trek for you matey but would be a pleasure to catch up again.
17. This Saturday 28th Feb. 9 p.m. until midnight. Free entry. A very varied set of covers, spanning plenty of decades, it will be fun. If any of you come along, please say hello, it's always good to meet BC'ers out in the real world.
