  1. I've only purchased from them once, that was all good and i would happily purchase from them again.
  2. Excellent, hope it works out.
  3. Nothing dangerous or complex, it wont self combust. Find a neck that you like. Unscrew the old one, after having removed the strings and replace with with the new. You'll need to check the nut slots, sort the relief and the string height at the bridge . So long as you can do that, or get someone to do it for you, then all will be good. If you want new, then Northwest Guitars do decent necks. Good luck.
  4. I'm sure your wife will be perfectly happy, it will look so lovely adorning your lounge.😂
  5. Welcome back. Enjoy the site again.
  6. I find myself in the same predicament, been looking at all the different little combos and yet I'm perfectly happy with my home practice amp, and the gig rig that I have, pleases me on every level.
  7. The body was made for me by @gsgbass It's a piece of light weight swamp ash.
  8. Yes, that's it. It very slightly darkens over time. Just trying to find some pics of my P bass build that I finished with tru oil.
  9. Tru Oil would be my choice. Fairly easy to apply, looks and feels good.
  10. During the lock down, cheer yourself up with a rather lovely G&L guitar .
  11. Great bass line, great playing, love it.
  12. The LB100 is another Leo gem, shame they aren't recognised as such by the masses. I've not tried any of the Tribute range of basses but do own a couple of Tribute guitars and they are very good.
  13. It was in General Discussion, so I moved it to here.
  14. If you're talking about playing this with the band that we've both been in, then it wouldn't have been your fault😂
  15. It is rather gorgeous H.
  16. Who knows how long this is going to go on, or which venues will survive.
  17. My feeling is that we have a moral responsibility to cancel the gigs that are booked in for the next few months. Not sure my band mates are in agreement though.
  18. Most Epiphones that I get to work on, are usually decent instruments but nearly always let down by poor electronics. My recommendation would be to install new pots, wiring, socket and capacitor and enjoy a much better sounding and a very much more reliable instrumen
  19. Take the bridge screws out. Get some decent wood glue in the holes pop in some cocktail sticks, carefully cut them off flush. Put the bridge back in place and pop the screws back in before the glue sets. Find yourself another repair man for any future jobs.
  20. If you haven't already, then have a check of the truss rod nut. It may have worked loose.
  21. On the days that I work, it's setting up, repairing, modding guitars and basses.
  22. Love his playing, especially on What Were Once Vices are Now Habits album. Rock bass with a great sense of groove and funk.
  23. It is. Each time that I look at it, I think the same. Really not sure about selling it
