1. That is a looker. I thought it was going to be another for sale ad Clarky and I was thinking about time I tried a Jazz again. .
2. I I love P basses and fanned frets, the GAS did its work on me.
3.
Quite quite lovely Keeping wallet firmly in pocket though
A thank you to Geek bump
4. We usually start at 9 and do three sets, ending at midnight. Equates to about 40 numbers.
5. That's a tough one. Probably be slightly easier to work out what a proper replacement bridge would cost and try to recover that cost from him, at best it might encourage to make the effort to find your one.
6. Thanks for that post Si, must have been difficult for you.
7. Not many are disciplined enough to just play roots
8.
Stick it on ebay mate as much as I love BC it is not really the best place to sell stuff right now IMO nothing much seems to be moving on the market place which is a bummer as it used to be terrific just guess there's not much money around that is the problem
I think you are quite right Paul but I was hoping a BC'er would have it. Also I'm not in a rush, if it doesn't go, I'll just hold on to it and enjoy for a while longer. You never know someone might decide to treat themselves to a 40th YOB bass in 2015
9. Still here and I'll drop the price another fiver. So, now it's just £45. If it doesn't go at this price, it will be packed away in the loft
10.
this is a real beauty and I love looking at it if it had a rosewood board I'd be reconsidering that second kidney requirement
Thanks Andy, I love looking at it as well but it would be good if someone were to buy it soon,
11. Once you hit that first note, the nerves disappear. Well they do, so long as you manage to hit the right note
12. Sorry jumped in a bit quick there, didn't realise we were in the Double basses forum
13. I wouldn't be spending money on used strings. Would rather spend the money on some meths spirit and give my own strings a soaking, assuming they were strings that I liked
14. Good man Jack. This could be one of the most valuable/important posts to appear on Bass Chat.
15. I love flats when playing at home, particularly if playing along to Northern Soul, Motown etc. When it comes to gigging though, it has to be rounds for me. Maybe I need to get myself into a Norther Soul band
16. I don't think you can expect to pay less than you are already paying and be able to get anything that is going to be safe or efficient. I guess small things are easy to lose and because of this I have a routine post gig, of immediately removing my plugs, putting them back in their little storage tin and from there straight into the accessories pocket of my gig bag, job done. These are the ones that I've been using for the last couple of years. 17. An unexpected combination of the modern looking cabs and the retro looking Fender head, like it though
18. A pleasure to deal with, no hassle and rapid payment. Another of the good guys on BC.
19. That was a great find. I was trawling on Friday but obviously not very efficiently
20. Very nice and what a stupendously good price. How did I miss this on Ebay?
21. Hope it goes well for you. I've done a few and really enjoyed.
22. Doddy said just about exactly what I was going to type, thus saving me the job
