1. Oh my word............burn it at once, it doesn't deserve to be on your bass.
2. Know what you mean Paul and can understand. On the up side, when your finances allow it, you know that there will not be a shortage of Fenders to choose from.
3. Richard, you are welcome to try out any of mine, I have USA P basses 60', 70's, 90's. A Japanese one which is great. G&L if you want something slightly different but still Leo designed.
4. Good review, glad you are enjoying. Love my old G&L. Another great design to thank Leo for.
5. That's amazing that they were all ok and even good. Even more amazing that none of them appeared to be fruitcakes, ego monsters, flakey or any of the many other potential problematical characteristics.
6.
I made an involuntary sex noise when the pictures came up. Absolutely beautiful and my year of birth bass. Would love it but sadly can't afford it. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks for that
7. That is a rough job makes me feel all unsettled just looking at it. Not sure what to suggest really. I think if it were me I would live with and play it for a few days, to get a feel for the instrument and to decide if it were a keeper or not. If it is one of the good Fender 70's basses and the purchase price was really good, then I might well consider getting prices to get it properly restored.
8.
This is spot on. It will take you just five minutes to establish whether or not they can play guitar, but five months to learn whether or not you actually like being in a band with them.
Got to agree with this and what Lozz said.
9.
As the saying goes There's nothing as overrated as bad sex and nothing so underrated as a great P
10. Not done any of this type of gigging, so no tips but wish you luck with it .
11.
But for how long..??!!
Truth is Mark, probably not long. You know how it is
12. It arrived safe and sound.
13. Thank you gents. It is a pleasure to play. For the moment my P bass satisfaction is complete. I'm well covered on the P front. modern 2013 Dingwall, vintage 1966 & 75 Fender, and the 80's and 90's are represented as well.
14.
Stunning!
Thanks, it is a lovely one but still no takers. On the plus side I get to enjoy it for a while longer
15. We could have had a coffee meet up Give me a shout if you come back down for the Dusty
16. A mixed bag today. Shine by Take That and Bubbles Biffy Clyro
17. That really does look the part. Savor the wait Mark
18. It's not good though is it? A company selling a product, whatever the product, should be able to furnish a potential purchaser with all the specifications.
19. Actually had this a few days now, but needed to spend some spending time getting to know it and what a pleasure that has been. My thanks to Grand Wazzoo for igniting the Dingwall GAS in me, offering advice and also for sorting out the negotiations/purchasing. He has really gone above and beyond. The quality of design, workmanship and materials is exceptional. Just looking forward to gigging it now.
