3. Phonic BKX8800 8 Channel Stereo Mixer I brought this home some years back for a planned home studio project that hasn’t actually happened. It has now sat in my spare room for too many years and I need to accept that I will probably never get around to using it. It was working perfectly last time I tried it out and looks almost as good as new. Back panel consists of: Midi Thru. Midi In. Left – Right Out. Effect Send. Effect Return. Main controls for each of the eight channels: Gain. Treble. Bass. Effect 1. Effect 2. Pan. Not sure what to price this at so hopefully £[s]75.00 [/s]is fair. REDUCED to [s]£65[/s]. £[s]60[/s] now only [s]£50 £45.00[/s] NOW JUST £40 No more price drops, it will go into storage if it doesn't sell at this price. I would rather not post but we can discuss further if required. I’m guessing courier charge would be around £16. Cash, bank transfer, pay pal but buyer pays the fees I’m in Hertfordshire.
4. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the shim/rout, particularly when buying from a reputable chap like Andy. Have you contacted him? If you really want that particular instrument, I'm sure he would be open to a little negotiation.
5. Every few weeks I use a solution (think it's just olive oil badged up) applied with a little drip applicator. Seems to help.
6. Got to applaud your loyalty. If it happened once to me I would be upset but if it happened again I'm sure I would be changing brands. My advice would be, get on to Rotosound and explain the situation. You never know, if there is a fault with their product, they might give you some replacements
7. Fender ’62 Reissue neck. Totally immaculate, genuine Crafted in Japan, Fender neck. Lovely grained Maple neck and Rosewood board. These Japanese necks are exceptionally good. I purchased this for a planned P bass build, which I’ve now decided not to go ahead with, due to something else taking my fancy. I’m asking £195, which given the condition and quality, I think is fair. Plus £15 for couriered delivery, by Paisley Freight. I’m in Hertfordshire if you wish to view/collect/save on postage fees.
8. Hi Alex. This part of the forum is not very busy, so It might be worth you posting your question up in the General Discussion area. More chatters there, sure someone will be able to recommend a tutor. Have you checked out Scott Devine for online lessons? If you haven't it's well worth checking him out.
9. Those speakers My wife thinks I'm a bit geeky with my hi-fi, must show her this vid
10. Thanks John, I'll try to sort that link. I'm always sorry to see them go but I like trying out different instruments.
11. Now only £1,900 Given the condition and quality of this bass, this is a bargain price. 1975 USA Fender Precision Bass. With original case and strap. My lovely 75 Sunburst P bass. This instrument is in exceptionally good condition. The lovely original finish has only a few slight marks/blemishes. All of the hardware and fittings are in great condition. Truss rod functions perfectly. Lovely chunky neck with maple fret board. The vintage jumbo frets are good with very little wear. It came to me with flat wounds and since then I’ve only used flats, currently D’addario chromes. Width at nut is 41mm. Weighs in at a very should friendly 9lb. All original other than a replacement switchcraft input socket and a CTS 250 volume pot. I still have the originals which can be supplied as part of the sale. Asking price is [s]£1,950[/s] Dropping the price to £1900. I doubt there are many basses from the seventies in this sort of condition, so the price is very reasonable. Collection preferred and therefore I’m not at this stage quoting a postage price. I’m in Hertfordshire and I’m happy for BC’ers to visit and try out, prior to buying. We can discuss courier costs and insurance if necessary. Not after any trades at the moment. Plenty more pics, which I can email if requested.
12.
No, it's definitely a Jazz body mate.
13. A pleasure to meet Mark at my place. Another of the BC good guys, highly recommended. My bass has gone to a good home.
14.
You`ll regret letting her go Gary, I did with my 78 black/black/maple Precision, luckily managed to get her back recently.
I know mate. I never really want to sell any of them.
15. Damn our old shoulders eh Mike? This is an impressively good bass for not much dosh and Mike is a fine chap to deal with.
16. I guess you can't beat one to one with a tutor.
17.
I really need to brush up my skills and am undecided whether to go for these online type teachings or go for some proper lessons.....i tend to think i will glean more from getting a good bass tutor but don't know what to do :-$
In the first instance, why not check out Scott's free lessons on You Tube and see how you get on.
18. How long are you comfortable with? I suppose I would be looking at their feedback and getting a feel for their trading record etc. If at all worried, I would probably move on, certainly if I wasn't getting any response to pm's, calls, emails or whatever.
19. Glad you got your dosh back Mark but what a sorry state of affairs.
