1. Lovely looking JV.
2. Another bass incoming, so it would be rather fine if a BC'er were to have this one.
3. She does look and sound a delight.
4. If you like Precision style basses check out Pesties ad in the for sale forum. Its a Vintage that I had for a while. Not very much dosh and very good quality.
5. Got to love a friend with large fingers
6.
I received my AB1 5 about a month ago now and im still in love. it's definitely the finest and best playing bass i have seen let alone touched. The amount of tone shaping is incredibleconsidering its a passive circuit and the pickups throw it out, so happy
That is a lovely looking instrument. Needs to be photographed against a lighter coloured back drop for us to fully appreciate it though I'm about to join the Dingwall club, assuming it has a safe passage across the seas.
7. Do all your fellow musicians/bands a favour...........don't play for free It just encourages liberty taking.
8. The spending spree continues A worthy addition.
9.
All my fave bassist are from that era - including, in particular, Tiran Porter of the Doobie Brothers
Yep, one funky player
10. Great news. I've been over and liked your FB page. Wishing you luck and success.
11. Probably my dodgy sight Stuee. It's a standard Fender size neck. I can recheck with the aid of a magnifying glass and better light though and get back to you.
12. May be some of them are hoping to get spotted by people/bands looking for a bassist.
13.
What are the vital statistics please mate? (width at heel, width at nut, tuner hole diameter, etc.)
Sorry I should have put the details in the ad. Width @ nut 42 mm Heel width 62.5 mm ish. Tuner hole is 15 mm
14.
Surprised this is still here
and me I keep looking at it and thinking maybe I should keep it for a future project.
15. Phonic BKX8800 8 Channel Stereo Mixer I brought this home some years back for a planned home studio project that hasn’t actually happened. It has now sat in my spare room for too many years and I need to accept that I will probably never get around to using it. It was working perfectly last time I tried it out and looks almost as good as new. Back panel consists of: Midi Thru. Midi In. Left – Right Out. Effect Send. Effect Return. Main controls for each of the eight channels: Gain. Treble. Bass. Effect 1. Effect 2. Pan. Not sure what to price this at so hopefully £[s]75.00 [/s]is fair. REDUCED to [s]£65[/s]. £[s]60[/s] now only [s]£50 £45.00[/s] NOW JUST £40 No more price drops, it will go into storage if it doesn't sell at this price. I would rather not post but we can discuss further if required. I’m guessing courier charge would be around £16. Cash, bank transfer, pay pal but buyer pays the fees I’m in Hertfordshire.
16. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the shim/rout, particularly when buying from a reputable chap like Andy. Have you contacted him? If you really want that particular instrument, I'm sure he would be open to a little negotiation.
17. That is a seriously nice grainy piece of wood
18. A weekend bump for my lovely bass
19. Every few weeks I use a solution (think it's just olive oil badged up) applied with a little drip applicator. Seems to help.
