I guess you can't beat one to one with a tutor.
I really need to brush up my skills and am undecided whether to go for these online type teachings or go for some proper lessons.....i tend to think i will glean more from getting a good bass tutor but don't know what to do :-$
In the first instance, why not check out Scott's free lessons on You Tube and see how you get on.

How long are you comfortable with? I suppose I would be looking at their feedback and getting a feel for their trading record etc. If at all worried, I would probably move on, certainly if I wasn't getting any response to pm's, calls, emails or whatever.

Not a lot I suspect.

Not sure what I would have done but well done and wish you well mate. Different situation but I played a gig a while back with a full on migraine. Visual disturbance and blinding pain. It was a truly horrid experience. Migraines are bad enough at home, when I can shut the curtains, lie down in a dark, quiet room and wait for it to pass. But in a gig situation with lights, noise and heat, Oh my word.
I did both on my Peavey Cirrus and could discern absolutely no difference at all. G.
Same for me but on a Fender P Deluxe. -
Lovely. It's got to be a black p/g with a black body, good work.

1974 Fender Precision and original Fender case. There’s something else I fancy buying so time to put another of my rather lovely 70’s P basses up for sale. Black body with maple board/neck. All original pups, electrics and chrome covers. Lovely clean maple board and neck. 40 mm. at the nut. Chunky, vintage fretwork in excellent condition. Weighing in at a very shoulder friendly 8.2lbs. The case is generally good, although one corner looks a bit ropey as can be seen in the photo. Catches all work and there is even a key. This is a cool looking vintage instrument and very resonant, even unplugged it’s loud and growly. Very good condition but not immaculate, there are a few blemishes and general signs of use. Hopefully as can be seen in the pics, it is really very clean, given its age. The pots are dated 1974 but the serial number on the neck plate indicates 1975, although the previous owner is convinced that it is a 74. Fender could be a bit haphazard with dating back then of course, anyway it is a very decent 70’s example. The band I am with, mostly play sweaty, crowded pubs, where I regularly seem to find myself and my gear in the firing line of inebriated punters. I’m therefore wary of using vintage instruments. If we played venues with stages this would be a keeper, as I find it very comfortable to play and it packs a good old P bass punch. Collection preferred and therefore I’m not at this stage quoting a postage price. We can discuss postage costs etc if necessary. . I’m in Hertfordshire and happy for BC’ers to visit and try out, prior to buying. Priced at £ 1,950 Not after any trades at the moment, thanks. Cash or bank transfer preferred, I can accept Pay Pal but the buyer will have to pay the fees. I’ve also still got the sunburst 75 P and although Iit hasn't been bumped of late, it is still for sale. That's lovely Ead, Having recently been introduced to Dingwall by Grand Wazzoo, I'm now really chomping at the bit for a 4 string.

You're on a bit of a roll lately. Very nice.

Listening now and enjoying.

Decently made Wiring Harnesses, Are they worth it?
gary mac replied to Shockwave's topic in Repairs and Technical
If you don't go down the DIY route, you certainly can't go wrong with one of Kiogons kits. I've had a few over the years. Quality components, quality workmanship and nice and easy to install. Plus he is a fine fellow to deal with -

Mike is a delight to deal with. Paid when he said he would and good comms throughout. Another one of the Bass Chat good guys.
