1. Cheers Paul Goes with the territory when selling stuff, I guess.
2. A back up for sale bump. It's not much to ask but It be would hugely appreciated if potential purchasers ensure that they have the means to pay.
3. Looks like a fine purchase
4. Can't imagine a thin layer of plastic will have much inpact on the magnetic field. The problem I've found with some of these type of replacements is more to do with their actual size/shape not quite fitting the cutouts in the pick guard. Not a huge problem of course but can be a bit of a pain.
5. There you go, thinking like a regular Bass Chatter.
6.
I'm physically repulsive so I learnt the Enigmatic scale so I could pull chicks. Save your money; it doesn't work.
I suspect the problem might be, referring to the fairer sex as chicks. It's just not very groovy Skank
7. The perfect justification to go out and treat yourself to a louder rig
8. I was playing this yesterday, just through my little home practice combo and it sounded lush
9. That's a good looker, some lovely grain.
10.
My current two mains, both self builds bitsa's On the left Meranti Body in Cadburys Purple Nitro, Allparts neck, Chromed brass pickguard, 60s style tuners (from a Japcrap), US P bass pickups, Gotoh 201 bridge, Fender roundwounds, CTF/Sprague/Switchcraft controls. On the right Fender Standard replacement Alder body (in Black), Allparts Neck, B/W/B pickguard, 70's style tuners fro a Steve Harris sig P bass, US P bass pickups, Gotoh 201 bridge, Fender roundwounds, CTF/Sprague/Switchcraft controls.
Good work, looking great.
11. Happy that you are reunited Now don't make the same mistake again Lozz
12. I seem to have forgotten how to embed a vid, hence the link.
13. Although I think he is a damned fine singer, I actually preferred the Doobies pre Michael Macdonald. My fave album of theirs and one I still regularly play, What Were Once Vices are Now Habits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aziZ-F4wl4c
14.
Thanks Skybone, communication and a little respect are exactly the key. TimR at the risk of me being Modded I look at your comments on many threads and frankly think half of them would be an attempt to start a punch up in a convent. Just my perspective, you understand.
It's all very well us lot advising but it's a difficult thing because we all come at things from a different perspective. Hope you get it sorted Karl.
15. Congrats on your purchase, returning to playing and passing the audition.
16.
If you're looking for mandolin tunes then download Tefedit (the free reader) from here http://www.tabledit.com/ and then download the zip files from here http://www.mandozine...ic/zipfiles.php and have fun Personally I don't use the tab but it's useful to give you an idea of the fingerings and pick directions as you're learning. The MIDI on the other hand is great help and I tend to learn tunes using a mix of reading and listening. Should you decide that sessions might be fun (they are) then an ABC program will give you easy access to a huge number of tunes from all over the world and again in either MIDI or notation. Ask me if you're interested and I can point you in the right direction (I have somewhere over 10,000 tunes stored on my computer). Steve
thanks Steve, will check that out in a while.
17.
These are great basses for the money I have a pimped up one as a back up and Gary is a great guy to deal with GLWTS
Thanks for that.
18.
Whereabouts are you based?
Sorry, should have put details in my ad. I'm in Hertfordshire.
19.
I'm with bubinga on this one, you can just feel the quality under your fingertips !
and me. They last so well, surviving many a sweaty gig. I do always give them a good wipe down at the end of a gig though. I'm am also impressed by D'ddario Pro Steels.
