1.
Don't know if gary_mac saw your post, but he did answer the same question from another BCer.... just passing the message on, like
Thanks Random, only just revisited. It is a good venue, well run and an enthusiastic crowd.
2. Sounds exciting for you, good luck with it.
3. Lovely pair of arrivals. Very nice
4.
Where, and whats the name of your band? I might just do that.
http://www.lemonrock.com/defunkt We are at The Lord Haig, kicks off about 9. If you do get there, make sure to come and say hello. Its always good to catch up with Bass Chatters.
5. I play mostly pub gigs, plus a few social clubs. Genz Benz Shuttle 6 in to two markbass 2 x 10"'s. Works really well for me. Mix of rock, soul, pop, funk, with Fender P or G&L SB1 Prior to this set up I was using Trace, awesome sound & awesome weight. Playing in Hertford this saturday if you want to check out the rig.
6. Enjoy your fishing mate. Good luck.
7.
Avoid troubleshooting the problem and send KiOgon a PM. Have him send you a P Bass wiring loom and then stick it in your P. His wiring kits are fantastic, and the Tone knob will actually do something!
This is damn fine advice. Done it a few times myself. You shouldn't have to of course with a nearly new bass but at least you will know that all of the replacement kit is of excellent quality and well put together.
8. Yep. I'm enjoying. Been following his blog recently about his bro, in fact I think it was you who put a link up for that, so thanks

10. Yes, plenty of love. Luke posted about it previously as he was planning to buy.
11. I have regretted selling mine so this is very tempting. I think the weight would make it a no goer for me for gigs but as a collectible, hmmm. Thanks for the kind offer.
12. Looking good Paul, looks like a decent purchase
13. At 25p per hour you should expect to have your door beaten down by a stampede of students
14. The Doc did this one for me, nothing exciting but it was much better value than having to get one from the states.
15.
Haven't we done this before?
Maybe but it's always good fun.
16. It looks very cool. Good work Dad. Love the look of the covers, even though I can't actually play a bass with covers on.
17. Maybe we will catch up there at some point.
18. What was the sound like in there Flyfisher? Most gigs I've been to at the Corn Exchange, the sound has been dreadful. They have been the events mixed by their own sound man though. He got the severe hump with me and my G&L bass when I last played there. He declared it far too loud and accused me of having a pre amp hidden somewhere Refused to believe it was passive.
19.
I'm a huge fan of the quarter pounder. It tames the mid heavy element of the average P bass and gives a bit more clarity in the low end. Best of all - it reacts really well to the tone control. Nice and bright when it's full up and deep and thuddy when it's all the way down.
Got to agree with the Fretmeister. Gigged my P bass equipped with quarter pounders at the weekend. Sounded lush.
20. Hope you have a spiffing time. I like a bit of Keane, haven't listened to them in a while though. Off to search through the CD cupboard.
21. Welcome Remy. If you want bass geekiness, you're in the right place.
