I regularly use both types. Maybe in my lounge at home I can hear a difference but not sure really, as it could be down to strings, pups, body wood etc. In a band situation I certainly can't distinguish any difference.

They are truly great instruments, consistently good. I've yet to encounter a duff one. I sold my one on here a few years back, regretted it ever since.
