I've not yet played this particular model but having owned plenty of G&L basses and guitars, I'm sure it will be a great instrument.

Be warned Mr Skinnyman, additional sanctions will be applied, if you keep on using your quota of "little reaction things".

First gig with new band. Del Bromham/Stray
gary mac replied to King Tut's topic in General Discussion
Congrats. I had forgotten all about Stray, used to really like them and saw them a few times back in the seventies, can't recall where though -
Clarky has just been in touch with me, to pass on the sad news that barneyg42 aka Colin, has passed away today. R.I.P. Colin.

It could be a shorting issue, for example: If the cavity is shielded and the output socket moves slightly and then makes contact with the shielding, you will lose all sound.

I've edited it and unlocked for you.

I don't cut flats these days. I know that generally too much string wrapped around the tuner post is not a good thing but with flats I make an exception.

Same as Lozz, I find Pro Steels very comfortable.

Barefaced Big Twin T vs x2 smaller cabs
gary mac replied to The GroovyPlucker's topic in Amps and Cabs
For the last few years I've gigged a BB2 and Super Compact combination. They work very well together, although to lighten the load slightly more and given that I don't really use the tweeter on the BB2, I may swap it out for another SC. -
We've just added it to our Glam Rock section, goes down very well indeed. Plus, it's a fun bass line.

@Graham Like my one but newer

Spot on Ped. I gigged my old SB1 tonight and that's exactly what I did, backed off the volume just a bit to give a good vintage P bass sound, then volume and tone full on when clank was required. Enjoyed it so much, that it will be getting another outing tomorrow night and is now officially out of retirement

He was one class act on the bass. Always inventive and made those great songs even better

Most definitely good advice, similarly and for added variety, I like to sometimes lock in with the snare.
