1.
My new (to me anyway, it's a '95) USA SB2 First gig with it will be Saturday night, really looking forward to it
So was it pleasing to gig with then? Looks like a lovely instrument.
2. That is impressive Rich, can't wait to see the finished job. Great work as usual.
3.
We'll try and organise a weekend meetup in London in the next few months, between now and the LBGS, for those who can't make either.
This is a sound idea Silvia.
4. You all have a brilliant day, judging by the list it's going to be well attended. I'm not going to make it. Setting up for our gig fairly early tonight and need to conserve energy.
5. Hi Bob. Welcome back to the world of bass. If you truly lack playing skills, it may be a bit early to be considering pedals. If you have money to spend, then lessons would be a sound plan. But whatever you decide, hope you enjoy and stick around, If you do want pedals there are always plenty in the for sale forum
6. I had the same problem with mine on an open air gig a few years back and that was due to a generator. Not sure of the technicalities but guess the power surges or fluctuates enough for the Shuttle to be affected.
7. Good luck with your sale. You're more likely to get some takers if you get pics up
8.
I've been having a blast learning Heart of the Sunrise! On a similar note, I have a new admiration for Chris Squire.
So pleasing to get a Squire bass line nailed.
9. I've yet to play a bad Yamaha, enjoy your bargain. Agree with Mr Japanaxe, Gotoh bridges are a good choice. Seem to recall the bridge on my Yamaha BB1200 (stupidly sold) was a seriously chunky unit, maybe you could track down one of those.
10.
Oh and I've also got to learn this week for a big gig at The Eden Project, 'Dancing in the Dark' and 'Make me smile (come up and see me)' at the request of the CEO of BT Cornwall ............... hmmm, still BT are paying big bucks so I don't mind
what a venue to play a gig at, should be a good one.
11. This evening, been playing along to and attempting to learn Breaking Down the Walls of Heartache,
12. Nice 69 there Chris, lovely.
13. I continue to be impressed every day when I play one of the P basses I put together. Don't think I can claim that it's down to any particular skill on my behalf but more, just good components all going together in a pleasing fashion.
14. Do yourselves a favour and let us know where you are located.
15. Hi Biscuit, you would probably be better off over in the affiliates forum, along with some info as to where you are located.
16. My useless memory Karl, just visited your feedback page, only to find I commented on it at the time
17.
The only other thing about it that narks me is con artist members changing their name to get rid of the bad feedback they have had (you know who you are pal ).
That is a worry, didn't occur to me that any of that had gone on here.
18. Recommended, dealing with Jamon was a pleasure, good communications and paid when he said he would. One of the good guys.
19. I've had plenty of OBBM's leads, as has my band, not a problem with any of them. Quality kit, good prices and rapid delivery.
20. Learning these three for this weeks rehearsal. Mama told me not to come, Tom Jones/Stereophonics version. Beggin' You. Franki Valli & the Four Seasons. Mr Rock and Roll, Amy Macdonald.
21. Money well spent Jimmy. After years of faffing about with various cheapies and foam ones my wife treated me to a decent set for my birthday. Use them every gig/rehearsal and they are extremely good.
