I've yet to play a bad Yamaha, enjoy your bargain. Agree with Mr Japanaxe, Gotoh bridges are a good choice. Seem to recall the bridge on my Yamaha BB1200 (stupidly sold) was a seriously chunky unit, maybe you could track down one of those.

I continue to be impressed every day when I play one of the P basses I put together. Don't think I can claim that it's down to any particular skill on my behalf but more, just good components all going together in a pleasing fashion.

I like coffee, I like bass so it sounds like a fine idea. Not so sure about traveling in to London at the moment. I;ll check in nearer the time and see where abouts it's happening.
