1. Rich, you are welcome to drop in and check out my kit. I have a GB Shuttle 6, and also a TC Electronics BH250, Mark Bass 2 x 10 cabs.
2. What a pleasing looking pair Paddy.
3. Paul has been a total pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Another of the BC good guys, highly recommended.
4. Why not message him and see if he is happy for you to check it out prior to bidding. Thirty years of the fluctuating temperature and humidity of most loft spaces, could cause an awful lot of damage. But if the price stays low then it could make a good restoration project. The last two numbers of the serial number look slightly wonky, so I would be having a close look at that.

NBD :)

Looks like it needs some loving Hope you enjoy.
6. After much deliberation, Lowdown for me. The standard was high throughout though and this didn't make it an easy decision.
7. There is some great work there this month. It's between Discreet and Lowdown for me. Need to listen again and will then try to make a decision and vote.
8. Like you said, it might be a good opportunity for the band. So if you feel it's an opportunity that you welcome, then surely you will be happy to abide by their requirements.
9. Know what you mean Shell and was having the same thoughts at our gig last saturday, whilst playing Hot 'n' Cold by Katy Perry. Feel a bit uneasy about Teenage Kicks as well.
10. Brilliant, just watched the whole thing whilst having brekkie and really enjoyed. Great work.
11. So, are you going for it? Bit too much mojo for me and not without some issues.
12. Good one for us last night. I certainly put in a better performance than last week, thankfully. The only duff note from me was the result of a scarily large mozzie settling on my fretting hand, resulting in me screaming like a girl, fingers exiting the fret board and walloping the open E string on the way. Bandmates looked some what shocked and bewildered. Other than that, all good.
13. May be it's time to ebay this, although I really didn't want to.
14. Like Kev B I had a bit of a shocker last night, well just the middle set really and typically that was when a few of the local musos had turned up for a look. Just couldn't seem to focus, then had a little brain blank , hit a duff note and then hit it again I had a flask of proper filter coffee stashed in my car, so had three cups in the break, then feeling recharged and a little wired, had a good last set. Deb, so glad your debut gig was a good one.
15. not sure which one will get an outing tonight. It's going to be hot 'n'sweaty.
16. Another great transaction with this true Bass Chat gent. Highly recommended, trustworthy and trusting. Tonight I'm a very happy chap, thanks to Si.
17.
Wimp! I have a gig in London and I'll still be there.
I would expect no less from a super hero like your good self
18. Just checked my gig diary and I have a function that night in Harlow, so think I will have to give it a miss.
19. For me, being one of the slightly more senior members, I have gone down the lightweight route, having ditched all my lovely Trace kit. So, two x Markbass 2.x 10 cabs with tweeters. Genz Benz shuttle 6 amp. I've used this set up with a classic rock line up, depping for an indie rock lot and with the current band doing a bit of everything old and new. Sound wise I've been very happy with it in all of the above situations and it's an easy load in and out of the house/car. Good luck in your search.
20. I'm amazed this thread isn't already up to three pages of us all recommending what we use.
21. I know, I've just been unlucky and mucked about a bit. Just wanted to point out, there's nowt wrong with the bass. No one has actually been along to look at it and not liked what they've seen. It just BC'ers saying they will have it and then not.
