Ped!!!

I had been having the same problem up until last week. Out of desperation I finally decided to give Google Chrome a try. All good now, no more slow BC
4. Have you tried lowering the pup on the side nearest the E? Being too close can cause that effect
5. Not unlike my one, good luck with your sale
6. Saw this gig advertised but couldn't get there. Love his work
7. Good idea Nibody. Until my daughter returns from maternity leave, I'm on long term loan to DefunkT http://www.lemonrock.com/defunkt
8. Hope it goes well for you We did our first festival recently, got the closing spot on the second night and went down a storm. Like Dad says, get plenty of pics, we did.
9.
This thread left me wondering how many others check at the last fret as all the top setter uppers (thats a technical term you know) use the 12th fret, I found this link which goes into great detail about checking at the 1st and last fret of the neck, it even has a photo with the explanation of where to check at the first and last fret below it yet clearly shows the guy using my method of no capo and the 12th fret http://www.fretnotgu...r/truss-rod.php I think its best to get the neck right from the 12th up to the nut then try a straight edge against the whole neck, if the releif then becomes too much overall it needs a shim at the neck joint before doing anything else, testing and adjusting at the last fret wont help as the truss rod wont alter that end of the neck and in some cases will actually hump up or ruin the neck if you go too far, thankfully mine have always gone back down after releasing the tension but I have seen plenty of humps around the 10th fret or so, no adjusting saddle screws will get you over a hump!
I've always used the last fret but will now try this method as it does seem to make sense Before making a final decision I may head off and ask MDP for his advice
10.
Cheers Gary. Nice bit of maple you've got there, too
Thanks, It is rather spectacular but thinking of moving it on now.
11. Nice. Not heard of the Bass Centre Stadium, looks good though.
12. That does look rather splendid, nice one Tredders
13. I've got the same model, although not as attractive as yours. Think you paid top dollar really but doubt you will lose out long term. Meanwhile just enjoy
14. Wouldn't that be like putting a V8 in an Austin Allegro Just joking. they are excellent pups, as are Wizards, Seymour Duncans and of course the proper fender pups.
15. These are lovely instruments and to my mind with that additional pup, much more versatile than the usual p/j varieties. I love mine, had it from new and don't intend to sell it. Good luck with your sale, I think it's a lot of bass for that money.
16. Welcome back to the bass world. Great post
17. Handsome and much more affordable than Mr. Baxter's. Tempted Si but would have to sell or trade my 75
18. Glad to find you so upbeat and enthusiastic Nige, good man. I really like what I've heard of Kit's tunes. Running as well, I'm impressed, you'll be giving up the smokes next
19. Good luck Stuart, bloody bands eh? You know that another band will be looking for a bass player, just after you've sold all your kit .
20. Yes think I would be nervous as well but instruments should be used, completly understand how you feel though.
