1. Wishing him a good recovery. I was with someone last weekend who is recovering after treatment for the same cancer. He is doing well but has had a very tough time. Bastid cancer
2. I'd be using wood adhesive for that type of repair.
3. Welcome aboard, glad you've seen the light

5.
looks like a pearly king who got mugged by button-nutters.
6.

I'm so grateful that Mark has visited our site and furnished us with all this vital info. I now know what sort of kit I need and why I've not been able to thus far get in to a decent band. What a fine chap
7. Another pain free transaction with Paddy. Good price, excellent comms throughout and my purchase was extremely well packed. He's a good 'un
8. As above, just fitted a set of quarter pounders in my latest project p bass. Haven't actually gigged it yet but sounded good in rehearsal. Will gig it this coming saturday.
9. Have a splendid Birthday. Hope the new purchase proves to be the cure
10. Some people can be a right royal pain, particularly if you find it difficult to be rude, which it was what tends to be needed we these thick skinned types. I so prefer being in the company of guitarists who don't think that every song needs a full on solo.
11. He was discussing this in a recent BGM article
12.
Yay! But for an apparently simple song, the bass line is surprisingly challenging - if you play Jim Lea's version.
Not sure I've nailed it note for note Mark but it's certainly quite busy
13. At next weeks gig we will be finishing the night with the Slade one, went down a storm last year.
14. Bloody hell Si, do you have a never ending supply of these lovely vintage Fenders?
15. Ok I'll play but not until next week when my case will be opened for rehearsal.
16. Got to agree with you. Doesn't feel quite the same at the end of the evening, looking at it and thinking "got get all this damned kit packed up, in to the vehicles and then unpacked at the other end and in to the house"
17. http://www.lhnborn.com/index.htm there you go, think that's the one.
18. Think that is his user name, he also has a website. If I can find it i'll put up a link
19. Try contacting bass chatter Henry norton, he's priced stuff for me before and I would have every faith in using him.
20.
My latest P Bass acquisition. It's a Fender Custom Shop 55 P Bass. Typically superb Custom Shop construction and plays wonderfully.
Ooh that's a cracker Nick.
21. Might be worth checking Strings Direct, I know they have some makes available in singles.
22. My latest P Bass. 037 by gem5819, on Flickr
