One of the few Christmas tunes that doesn't make we want commit a crime

I've only used one strap for the last twenty plus years and that's a Comfort Strapp. Very comfortable, light and so far very long lived

I tru oiled a P bass neck a few months back and now gig with it most weeks. I think I probably used a few more coats than you and then rubbed back with micromesh. After that, for a few evenings, I sat with the bass on my lap whilst watching t.v. and using an old t shirt, just gently buffed the finish. No vigorous, breaking in to a sweat buffing, just gently gently. It feels quite lovely now

I can now add to the list of glowing recommendations for Steve. Top chap, pleasure to deal with and made parting with the bass much less painful. Happy to recommend.

They definitely seem to target vans in Travelodge car parks, thieving scuzzy gits.

I've tried a few over the years. My faves until recently were Wizards but a couple of days back I installed a set of Entwistle Neo's in a customer's Fender Mex Jazz. My word it sounded awesome and I now have Jazz GAS again.

Problem is if you want that authentic looking sixties tort, nothing else really comes close. Which is why, a couple of years back, when I need a pre CBS tort guard for a 63 P, I spent out the dosh on the genuine article. It took some finding, plenty of searches and e-mailing but was worth the effort and the wait. It didn't come cheap and mrs mac thought I had lost the plot, "Spending all that money on a bit of plastic from the sixties, that looks like it needs a damn good clean". Ultimately though, the bass was complete once again

We hopefully get to weed out any scammers and get them sent off in to oblivion, so that you don't have to worry about dealing with them

It's quite a common problem on Fender reissue 62's. THere is a mod that can be carried out, although I have found that it doesn't completely eliminate the problem. Also a little clear nail varnish on the pole pieces can help.

This has some very enjoyable bass playing on it.

I may have missed it but don't think anyone has yet mentioned Andy Fraser's work with Free. Well up in the mix and extremely tasteful playing.
