1. Kiogon is yer man. Just get one of his super duper Greasebucket type kits. the work is done for you, pots, input jack, cabling etc. just drops in,no soldering required
2. Fear not, there's always another bout of GAS, it just hasn't got to you yet. Be patient, give it time and you will be rewarded
3. Yep, been all around the houses bass wise and now firmly in the P bass camp. Although I do gig a G&L regularly but even that is p bass shaped
4. Lovely grain on the 77 Nick, looks really nice. Is it a heavy one?
5. I really like this bass but just can't go for it at the mo. Good luck with your sale.
6. Having to repeat yourself Nige
7. With a bit of eq tinkering and technique adjustment, I find my P basses perfectly fine for the poppier numbers. Don't butcher it
8. I would happily recommend Charla, he is a fine chap to deal with.
9. Big John is a man of few words Nice looking bass though
10.
Tell them 'see you next Tuesday'.
I concur
11. Good man.
12.
I can wholly understand that one, a lot of metal fans are into the whole symphonic side of things as well, as it somehow fits so well with metal. My only guilty pleasure is a very vague one of cheesy pop songs, most people who like 'real' music absolutely hate them, but some are just satisfying to play. Liam
I've been playing quite a bit of pop recently, Katy Perry's Hot and Cold being one example and it's so much fun. Brown Eyed Girl is in the same set though, which is not fun anymore.
13. I didn't realise they were one and the same. Well at least we know now, thanks
14. Sorry to hear of this. I've always felt reasonably safe buying on here but I suppose as the membership grows it will happen more and more . Please do leave the feedback.
15. I know that those multi tools seem like a good idea and can be very handy but I avoid them and prefer single, good quality tools. My thinking is that they are weighty and bulky, and that there is more chance of me damaging the instrument than when using proper tools. I always take my tool box along to gigs, including a soldering iron. Haven't had to use it yet but it's in the car just in case.
16. Just sitting here feeling saddened by the passing of Jon Lord and then found this thread
17. Thanks Charla and replied
18. A bit more info about posting: Courier fee to most of the mainland is £15.00. If insurance is required the fee is £17.50 (which is cover for upto £500). Given that I don't have a case, I would rather post with the neck removed and all carefully wrappped of course.
19. Nice one Wayne. Good job with that bass.
20. Make sure you let us know how it goes. Best of luck
21. sold pending payment
22. I thought this would have gone by now bump
23. Still available and still a very nice bass bump
24. I couldn't find one that was absolutely perfect, pretty close but it would have meant re drilling a few of the holes. Your best bet would be to pm Bass Doc. Send him your one to be used as a template and he'll knock you up a loverly-jubberley brand new shiney masterpiece.
25. Don't know what you should pay but I love the colour.
