1. Not had any experience with these models but congrats on getting a bass that you like. Get some pics up
2.
What colour towel should I use? Which is better - cotton or acrylic? Is a motif of blue fishes blowing bubbles acceptable for a covers band?
I would recommend one of the towels that have been improved by M D Phillips
3. I'm a recent convert, although last night I rehearsed using my new P bass which is strung up with nickels. Hell my fingers are sore this morning. Currently got D'Addario Chromes on two of my P basses and really happy with the choice.
4. Another nice job Alex. You didnt say how it sounded. Same as Awesome or different? Anyway it looks good and hats off to you for the sanding job.
5. A pair of chrome P bass knobs taken from a vintage modified. As new condition. For sale as I've fitted a new Kiogon wiring kit with cts pots, these fit the pots with the slightly smaller shaft of about 6 mm. £9.50 posted.
6. Used to be a boiler but these days I'm in to the meths
7. Like Discreet says, check out the for sale forum. There is a Squier Vintage Modified neck on there at the moment for about £55. Would imagine that would suit you just fine. About the right amount to spend I would think.
8. Another vote for the Bass Doc. Did a fine job for me with a G&L p/g
9. Yep, like you, I take a spare. I know it's one more thing to carry/load/unload but could save much stress and embarassment. So, have you fixed it yet?
10. That is a good deal and yes they are popular. I bought an identical one on here a couple of weeks back for about the same price. I've been pimping it up, not because it necessarily needed it but I wanted a project. I would have happily gigged with it in it's stock condtion. You probably just need to be patient, someone will be along Meanwhile, have a bump
11. Know you said google didn't help but what about google images?
12. Pleasure to deal with, nice easy transaction, no hassle and immediate payment. Yet another one of the Bass Chat good guys.
13. Martyn is a good BC'er to deal with. Sale agreed and all paid for within minutes.
14. Fender Chrome Bridge, unused but without packaging or screws. £9.50 posted. Bank transfer preferred. Thanks for looking. 15. Hardly used, been on a VMP bass. There is a problem, so please read fully. The G was cut a little too short and subsequently slipped when trying to tune up. Would be fine I imagine on a 2 over 2 style headstock. The other three strings are perfectly fine and cut to the correct lengths.

Fave guitar solo?

Glen Tilbrook's solo starting at about 2.18
18. Am I right in thinking that you are down in Devon Marvin? Just about every ad I see on Lemonrock seems to be from bands in that neck of the woods. Might have to move down there myself
19. Looking good. Will look forward to seeing the end result.
20. The Duncan Design pups that are fitted to VMJ's are pretty good and do come up on ebay quite regularly. My daughters set went for about £2
21. There should be a bend, only slight of course. I'm sure if there was a bad bend you would know about it.
22. That's a nice looker, love the combination of white, maple and black. Must get one sometime soon
